Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 2000 K1200LT, Canyon Red, 36K miles, I bought it when it had 17K miles 2 years ago, J-pegs, 6-CD player and cassette, AM/FM, Cruise, Heated grips and seat, New Slipstreamer windshield, Flashing brake lights, self installed auxillary lights to be seen better during daylight hours, these can be easily removed. The tires are Bridgstones which have around 2500 miles on them, the bike is very easy to self maintain, I have changed all fluids myself (rear end, transmission, and engine oil) as well as the tires. There is a small amount of flaking to the chrome under the foot pegs, the right J-peg mounting bolt was slightly bent from the previous owner, (does not effect its use),; The only issue for this machine is the wig-wag lights are lit up on the dash notifying you the ABS part of the braking system is not working, I took it to Lone Star BMW in Austin, their assessment of this issue is that it has no affect to the machine. Its a very nice bike for being 12 years old, shines up well, and rides like a BMW should. I have the title in hand, and will post the VIN number when I get to the title or insurance card. Thanks, Terry Simank On Dec-01-11 at 15:19:19 PST, seller added the following information: Lone star BMW told me that the ABS module not working has no effect on the integral braking of the bike, and was not uncommon in these early LT's. There was another LT on Ebay a few weeks ago with the same problem from a dealer that mention that the brake light was on. That what was the problem with that bike too I'm sure. Bidding stopped at 4550 without hitting their reserve. A member of the BMW forum on the internet told me there was another route to try to get ABS working, as I remember it was probably a complete brake fluid flush. I've driven it the last 15K miles like this. There is no apparent damage other than small scratches to black plactic cover by J-peg, and as you can see in side picture the J-peg hangs slightly lower than parrell to ground. I don't know if this is even related to the J-peg. Thanks for all your questions, any more just drop me a line or call;, five one two 365-0547
