Hello, Thank you for viewing this auction. This bus is clean, solid, and in exellent running condition. It was taken apart and freshened in every area, new original VW paint colors (L90D pastel white L31A senegal red) to the bus inside and out, including floors, wheelwells, and engine compartment, the interior has a new headliner and new seat upholstery in the original style, along with new door panels on the front doors, kick panels under the dash, and many other trim parts throughout the interior. It was mechanically gone through including new shocks, brakes, wheel cylinders, new clutch, heater, and throttle cables, brake hoses, gas lines, vent lines, gas filler pipe elbow and hose, seals, exhaust, gaskets, filters, battery and any other parts that would make it dependable and reliable in the future. New steering dampener and new rubber steering joint between the steering shaft and steering box. The windshield is new as are all the rubber seals on all the big windows. New outside stainless steel mirrors and new chrome trim and wipers in and out on the front doors. New 185r14c Goodyear 6ply tires including the spare. The engine was rebuilt approx. 6k miles ago with new bearings, pistons, cylinders, and a complete valve job and has many new parts just added including new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing, oil cooler, new rubber mounts, head temp. sensor, new plugs, wires, seals and gaskets and has hydraulic lifters and new electronic ignition so no constant adjusting needed , no oil leaks and no smoking. The bus has 200 miles on it since all the work was done. It starts without touching the gas pedal, rides, steers, and drives flawlessly with plenty of power and will cruise on the freeway at 75 all day. The transmission is quiet and shifts nicely. The brakes are exellent. Everything works including the heat, all lights, gas gauge, horn, wipers, rear window defroster, dome lights etc. as well as the original AM radio. The gas tank was removed and cleaned inside, the shifting rod was removed cleaned and regreased and new rubber dust boots added on each end of the tube it's in and a new forward busching added. The sliding door has a new nylon block that slides on the rail. The pictures tell the story of the bus much better than words. One key fits all the locks and ignition switch. You can use it right now as a daily driver if you want to. The body has all the original panels and none were welded on. Comes with an original owners manual in near mint condition, original jack, and a new original VW style tool kit. There are many more new parts on the bus than the above mentioned and I think most people can tell without stating every single one...the whole bus was gone over quite thoroughly. These vintage buses in this kind of condition are getting harder to find and should only increase in value in the future. Get's attention everywhere it goes.
