Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a RARE car, This is a 1958 Packard Hawk #485 in waterfall blue. This is the last year that Packard built a car & they went out with a Bang! The fastest & most powerful car built by the firm, it was powered by a Paxton Supercharged V-8! It was built alongside the Studebaker Golden Hawk which was powered by the same engine. If your a Hawk fan you probably already know the story about these cars, if not, do a little research & looking at these cars because they are interesting. This car will need some repair as it is missing some of the supercharged pieces / parts, but the engine turns over. Look carefully at the pictures because this is all I have for this car, I have know idea as to the original mileage because of the missing dash, so the mileage is unknown. NO DASH / NO SUPERCHARGER / NO CARBURATOR / NO AIRBOX / NO HUBCAPS. The car has some rust but only in some area's. Packard used some type of film on the rear fin area's and it caused them to hold moisture, this car will need the fins repaired or replaced, the front fenders will need repaired also along with the center area's of the rear 1/4 panels. The floors & trunk are solid however. Every bolt & nut I put a wrench on turned in & out easily so its like most of our western cars & not rusted together like the cars back east. I have not been able to get the trunk open because the keys must have went with the dash. It may or may not be full of parts. I dont know! You could build a really cool Bonneville Salt Flat race car with this because I bet its slick with this nose. If you want a rare, interesting, worthwhile project here you go. Should be a great investment in the long run because there were not many made so there can't be many left. Parts are reasonable as a large number of Studebaker Hawks were made. Check out ebay #250927536319 (Complete Dash) or ebay #270857033599 (Complete Hawk) for cheap parts. Selling as is, clear Idaho title in hand. Have fun with the auction!!
