Vehicle Detail

PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE AD AND VIEW ALL PHOTOS BEFORE BIDDING. Up for auction is my 1988 classic BMW 325is. In my opinion I believe it to be the nicest one you will find on the market anywhere. If you've been searching for one of these you know how hard it is to find one in this condition. This car needs nothing but driving and taken to shows. I am the 3rd owner and this car has always been adult owned and driven. It has never been molested or modified in any way. Always garaged and METICULOUSLY maintained. The car has never been in an accident of any type. For the enthusiasts all fenders have the vehicle ID# plates on them. I'm 67 years young and believe in a well taken care of automobile. Below I will seperate the car into 3 categories and try, to the best of my ability, to let you know what you're bidding on as I don't want there to be any surprises. I know how that can be. ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN: This BMW is equiped with a 2.5 liter, 6 cylinder, fuel injected, duel overhead cam, 24 valve engine that puts out 168 horsepower coupled with a 5 speed transmission. It has more get up and go than most folks need. The engine and drive train have been METICULOUSLY maintained all of its life. Regular oil changes using nothing but 10-W-40 synthetic Mobil one oil. It has all schduled BMW services to include regular valve adjustments and timing belt changes. Next timing belt service is not due until May 2013. After each oil change there has been an injector cleaner run through the 1st tank of gas and a valve cleaner run through the 2nd tank. The additives are by "Molly Lubro" the best you can buy. This engine runs as fine as it did when new. Absolulely no oil use between changes and no oil drips from anywhere. I realize that 177,000 miles may sound like a lot to some folks but ask a master BMW mechanic or a BMW enthusiast and he will tell you that this is no miles at all for a well maintained 325 engine. They are noted for being bullet proof. I have 2 friends here in Augusta that own these. One guy has over 500,000 miles on his and the other has over 300,000 miles. Both have been well maintained and run as strong as they did when new. The guy with 300,000 miles still races his.Unbelievable!!! I would rather have a maintained 200,000 mile BMW than an abused 80,000 mile one. The previous owner had deep pockets and when the car needed something he took care of it. A couple of years ago the car was developing a little play in the drive train so he spent a ton of money and had all new shifter sleeves, new drive shaft, rear end rebuilt and new clutch slave and master cylinder. Also had the front end rebuilt. Needless to say the car drives out as tight as it did when it left the showroom. I have just had the car serviced and is not due for another for 5,000 miles. Services are spread out a little further when using synthetic oil. The A/C system has been professionally converted to 134A freon. It is very cold and the heat will run you out of the car. My wife and I just drove the car on a trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains and she drove like a pure dream. Really straightened out the curves. The car has 4 Michelin tires on the original rash free alloys. The tires have 40% or better tread ware left. A brand new full size spare and factory alloy are in the trunk. On a scale of 1-10,I would have to rate the engine and drive train a 15. You just have to drive it to see for yourself. INTERIOR: As you can see from the photos, the interior is a solid 10. Perfect leather and dash. All electrics operate as new. Power sunroof, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, power antenna, power outside mirrors and the on board computer. The car has an Alpine 200 watt stereo CD player professionally installed. It sounds awesome. I have the original BMW stereo cassette player in great condition that will come with the car. The car has NEVER BEEN SMOKED IN. Only odor in the car is the smell of leather. BODY AND EXTERIOR: The body on this car is as straight as an arrow. Not even a door ding. No rust ever on this car. Even the underside is beautiful. The car was professionally repainted the original color about 8 years ago and the paint lays down as flat as the original paint with of course no orange peel. The only spot on the paint is a 3" by 1" spot on the right front of the hood. NO DENT just a little clear coat that peeled off. The car looks so nice otherwise that no one ever notices it. My 8 mega pixel camera won't pick it up. My paint guy wanted $110.00 to touch it up but I havn't had it done. A $19.95 motor sport stripe would cover it up and look good as well. I'm leaving this for the next owner. I recieve nothing but praise where ever I drive this little beauty. If I had a 3 car garage I'd keep her but I don't and I have my eyes on an M5 BMW. In rating the exterior I have to give it a solid 8. You can pay less for one of these but by the time you get it in this condition you will have far more in it than I'm asking for this one. I do have a folder full of records that will accompany the car. If you have any questions concerning the car or want to see and test drive it , Please phone me at 706-736-3972. I am retired and I'm home a good bit of the time. Shipping will be the sole responsibility of the buyer. I will assist you any way I can. You can fly into Augusta and drive this car home anywhere. A $500.00 nonrefundable deposit will be due at auction end payable through Paypal and the balance will be due within 7 days of auction end payable in cash or bank cashiers check. If you have less than 5 feedbacks or negative feedbacks please contact me before bidding. Only bid if you are prepared to buy the car. Thanks for reading my ad and great luck bidding. PLEASE READ MY FEEDBACK AND BID WITH ABSOLUTE CONFIDENCE!!! On Nov-22-11 at 07:06:12 PST, seller added the following information:I might add that there are 3 sets of keys and the original owners manual that also come with this BMW. ThanksOn Nov-24-11 at 08:25:33 PST, seller added the following information:I have had a lot of folks calling making offers and wanting to know my reserve. I don't mind revealing my reserve. It's $6,995.00. All I can say is to bid wisely Sunday afternoon when the auction is ending. Thanks for all the inquires. On Nov-26-11 at 12:23:16 PST, seller added the following information:In answer to all your emails and calls, This automobile looks much better in person than the photos show. Everyone that has seen the car tells me this. This is one BMW that you will not be disappointed in. Good luck bidding and thanks for all the interest you have shown.
