This is a genuine JCW car that has the Works package straight from the dealership, and it comes with full documentation including Works serial numbers and identification cards to prove it is authentic. A lot of people just buy two or three JCW parts and claim they have a Works, but my car is a real JCW Mini. The car is fully loaded and comes with all four packages: The Works Package, Sport Package, Winter Package, and Premium Package PLUS it has more optional features. In fact it has just about every feature available: GPS Navigation, Special Hyper Blue Metallic Paint, Glass Pano Roof, Park Distance Control, EXPENSIVE two tone leather, Expensive John Cooper Works Aero Body Kit, 17” Sports wheels withLimited Slip Differential, Xenon Headlights, DSC Stability control, foglights, heated seats, heated mirrors and washer jets, multi function steering wheel with radio controls, onboard computer, climate control, rain sensing wipers, Harman Kardon sound system, IPOD Connection Dock, Factory alarm with motion sensors (not just keyless entry). Of course it also has the factory John Cooper Works package that bumps the horsepower up to 220 HP. It also comes with Sports wheels with 4 runflat tires and an extra full sized wheel and runflat tire that have never been used. The MSRP was about $45,000 because this is the ultimate Mini Cooper S works. Moreover, the car is a 1 owner vehicle with a full service history. I have just about every service record since it was new from the dealership. The car was serviced with a 100k Mile Mini Cooper maintenance package, so wear items such as the oil changes, brakes, clutch, etc were replaced by the dealership with Genuine mini parts. How it Drives The car always starts right up with no hesitation. It shifts into all gears effortlessly, and the clutch feels perfect. If you have driven a regular Mini Cooper S you probably know the clutch feels incredibly heavy, but in my car it feels very easy to push down. Maybe the clutch is different in the Works but it’s very easy to drive. It is very quiet, but when you accelerate to merge onto the highway you can hear the works exhaust note and the supercharger whining. It sounds very nice, but of course it is not obnoxious or annoying since it is made by BMW after all. When cruising the car is nice and quiet, no rattles or odd noises. The seats are very comfortable and supportive, the brakes are incredibly strong, and the suspension is in tip top shape. If you let go of the steering wheel the car tracks straight, so the alignment is perfect as well. Moreover if you accelerate there is no torque steer because the car has a Limited Slip Differential. The climate control works great – just set the temperature, push auto, and it takes care of the rest. Both the heat and AC work phenomenally well. The Harmon Kardon sounds sytem sounds incredible, and there are controls on the steering wheel that let you control the track and volume. There is also a factory iPod dock in the glovebox which also works with the iPhone. You just plug in your iPhone or iPod and you can control the volume and tracks from either the steering wheel or the radio itself. The sound quality is amazing when listening to an iPod using the connector. All the windows, locks, gigantic glass sunroof work great. The huge glass panoramic sunroof is an amazing feature. If you are sitting in traffic the car feels very spacious because of all the glass and being able to see the sky. It is a very nice experience. When you put the car in reverse the park distance control emits a beeping noise to let you know how close you are to the car behind you. Heated seats work great, the optional chrome accents make the car’s interior look very classy. Also another great feature is the Speedometer and Tachometer are right above the steering wheel. Most mini’s have the big stupid speedometer right in the center of the dashboard which is annoying. This one is very special in many ways. It runs great, is very comfortable, and is a dream to drive. Maintenance All service and maintenance was performed at the Mini Dealership. The oil was changed at the dealership every 5,000 miles, even though the maintenance package only covers oil changes every 10,000 miles. So extra money was spent keeping the car in tip top shape. Every time anything needed attention no matter how small the car went to the dealership. For example when the glovebox was sticking it was repaired at the dealership, when the rear windshield wiper was streaking, it was fixed at the dealership. I have records for all the repairs and maintenance and they come with the car. The car is fully documented and this should tell you what sort of care the car has received. Mechanically the car is in phenomenal shape. There are no leaks, the car does not burn any oil, and there is no maintenance required presently. Brakes were replaced at 60,000 miles, oil pan gasket was replaced at 58,000 miles as well. The car came with an extended 6 year/100,000 mile maintenance package so any time it needed brakes, a clutch, an oil change, or any wear item the dealership replaced it. You will be hard pressed to find another Cooper S Works that has been this well taken care of. Body The car has never been involved in an accident, and the car looks fantastic. The Hyper Blue Metallic paint was an optional extra from the factory, and the paint really makes the car stand out and look nice. It’s not your standard navy blue Mini Cooper, it’s phenomenal looking. There are a couple dings here and there, and there is a scratch on the driver’s side door which has been touched up. There is no rust anywhere on the car. The car looks really striking, especially since it has the John Cooper Works Aero kit and Factory custom ordered Hyper Blue Metallic paint, matching dashboard, and Factory custom blue two tone interior. The Works Aero kit comes with a different front bumper which is lower, the side skirts are also lower, and there is a rear spoiler. If you park this next to a regular mini cooper or Mini Cooper S this looks like a race car parked next to just a normal commuter car. Also since the Aero kit comes from the factory it is very heavy duty, so if somebody bumps you while parking or anything like that you won’t have to worry about it shattering. The car’s made by BMW, so the body is rust proof, the bumpers are very strong, and the styling is very modern. 20 years from now this will still be an incredibly rare and cool looking car. Flaw The car is practically perfect. The only thing you may want to do is get an original mini cooper battery. I recently replaced the battery with a new one, but it is not an original mini cooper battery. Mechanically the car is perfect. All windows, locks, engine, transmission – everything works and everything is smooth, oiled, in tip top shape. Again, the car was dealer maintained and all the service records come with the car. Conclusion This is an exceptionally well maintained car that was serviced only at the dealership. It was never crashed, abused, modified, or mishandled. It’s a 1 owner car, and if taken care of it will give you years and years of driving enjoyment without any hassle.
