What we have here folks is a special edition XJS Hess/Eisenhart V-12 convertible made only from 1986-88 exclusively...Estimates range from 863 to 2100 of these were made during this period....She runs good and shifts well and is fun to drive and has a current license registration and Pennsylvania state inspection sticker good thru November of 2012..Currently stored at a friends carport since July under cover and he would like it out of there before winter...Approx 5 years ago she was repainted and necessary bodywork rust only was repaired at that time no collision damage ever....The paint job and rust repair were not perfect BUT sufficed to drive and enjoy the car for the last 5 years.....Car has not been smoked in to my knowledge and I am the 3rd or 4th owner I believe..The convertible top could stand to be replaced the good news is a brand new BLACK top is included it just needs to be installed...It does have the usual Jaguar fluid leaks of trans fluid and motor oil as is generally expected with these cars very very common trait...It will also on very hot days run a little on the warm side I do believe one of the two cooling fans is not working properly and should alleviate this when you fix it possibly a relay or fuse?? ....Interior has some seperated seams on both seats BUT sheepskin covers also included...The black vinyl dash pad by the windshield also has a heat stress crack in it as well...This convertible is NOT perfect it will need some TLC a good wash and wax etc. so if your looking for a perfect one keep on looking..However if your a little mechanically inclined or have a good mechanic available you will have a fun car to drive for many years...Car is sold AS IS no expressed warranty whatsoever....
