Other than a 1963 - 1989 Series Chevrolet 250CID Six Cylinder Crate Motor (this is a total bolt-in replacement and is why this beauty runs so well) and a 12 Volt conversion, this 1954 Chevrolet 3600 3/4 Ton longbed pickup truck is totally stock and original. The running gear is rock solid. It has a new battery and the carburetor was recently rebuilt. This truck starts, runs, drives, steers, turns and stops great. I've driven it around town and on the freeway quite a bit and it's a great driver. The previous owner in Central Utah used it for years as a runaround truck for his company. From a mechanical standpoint, it's obvious this truck has been very well maintained. The interior is in good shape as well; it's very original in all the right ways. There has been no cutting or butchery of any kind. The seat cover was just installed and covers what appears to be the original upholstery. The exterior has an absolutely awesome patina that only 57 years of Mother Nature could provide. This truck's only downside is the typical rust that can plague vehicles of this era. The floorboards are particularly rough; we've cut to fit and screwed in some easily removable patch panels that look pretty darn good. If you live in a dry climate like I do or just drive the truck in nice weather, that fix will probably last forever. Please look at all the pics carefully.
