The vehicles I sell on eBay are mostly trade-ins from local dealerships and other dealers in the York, PA area. I get these vehicles "as-traded". They have not been serviced, detailed, or prettied up for retail sale. In order for me to offer them to you on no-reserve auction pricing, I cannot spend money for these services. I drive every one of my sale vehicles and write a thorough description including the good and bad of the vehicle. Please understand that these are used vehicles, they WILL have the wear and tear associated with age and mileage. Please read the full description. Up for No Reserve auction is a 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE 2M6. This Fiero has the 2.8L V6 and automatic transmission mounted mid engine (behind the driver, like a Ferrari). The V6 starts up easily, but produces smoke. Once it warms up, the smoke dissipates and it idles smooth. It drives smoothly, the engine has power and the transmission shifts properly. However, if you take it up to highway speeds and run it hard, it will start to smoke again. the smoke smells like oil. It maintains good oil pressure. I am not a mechanic and I do not know what is causing this problem. The suspension and brakes are good. The black paint on this Fiero is in very good condition. It is not peeling or heavily blemished aside from a ding on the rear bumper (see pics). This car cleans up very nice. All the lights work and none of the lenses appear damaged. There is a crack in the left side sail glass. The alloy wheels are in good condition and the tires all have decent tread. The interior of this Fiero is in very good shape, except for the drivers seat. The grey fabric has split in several places (see pics) but a decent upholstery shop should be able to fix it up with no trouble. The passenger seat looks like it was rarely used. The carpets are clean. The door panels are still tight (no loose and rattling like many Fieros). The stereo sounds good and the heater and A/C both work properly. This car has a great body and looks very sharp. It will be a blast to drive once returned to 100%. If you have been looking for a fun project car (I've heard that V8 swaps aren't difficult and turn these cars into monsters) or would like to build a kit car, this would be a great place to start. Because of the smoking issue I would NOT recommend driving this car more than a short distance, and would suggest bringing a trailer or hiring a shipping company.
