NO reserve, any bid takes it home! This would make a great rat rod, or dry lakes style 50's original patina Hot rod! This original Ford car is a project, but an orginal all steel 1936 Ford Three window. It has no engine or transmission and no interiour, You are buying a three window body complete with grill, Hood decklid on a rolling frame. No Title, but you can use the ebay info as a bill of sale or I can provide a bill of sale. The frame is a 1939 and comes with front and rear 1939 (I believe) axles and original 1936 to 1939 wide rim Ford wheels. The 1939 frame was equiped with hydralic brakes, as I believe this has, although the front backing plates are missing, the rear backing plates are present. This coupe was made from two different coupes, I think the roof was on a car that rolled or the body was rusted out below. This car came from Salt Lake City and like many western cars has a lot of solid metal. There are places it has surface rust, but the rust does not go so deep that it will leave the remaining metal pitted, it should clean up to bare metal nicely. The car has a lot of different color primers on it as well as original patina paint. It would make a great rat rod or original patina car, but if you want to make it a show car, it could go that route also. The floors are very solid although you may patch a few areas, likey less than 6X6 inches. The front cowl has been worked on, it has lower patch panel or original lower sections in good shape. It will need some rear quater panels and maybe a rear tailpan. The roof section of this three window was welded to another coupe, and although it was nicely lined up, the welds were never ground down and finished. The roof and body have sections with dents and odd bulges, some one good with hammer and dolly can straighten it out nicely. The body is just sitting on the frame, but with bolting it and correct shims, the door gaps will improve immensly. The frame is very solid, although I saw one non- structural area that could use a small patch. The doors are a poor mans three window, they are actually tudor sedan doors with the rear corner replaced with the rear curve of a 1935 to 39 truck door. By pie cutting and a minor bend, they match the shape of the original three window doors. After some metal fill, you can't tell they were not original three window doors. The two roof sections miss lining up by a few inches, so there is a 1 or two inch gap, but I have another Ford 1935 -36 roof section to use as fill in or if you need to add distance to chop the top. The deck lid has some dents, and will need some patch work on the inside where the hinges, go, but decklids are very hard to find in any condition! I have some rough rear fenders and a good and a poor running board, if the winning bidder wants these , I will include them at a modest price.
