Vehicle Detail
1970 CADILLAC DEVILLE CONVERTIBLE Originally born in Ohio, this vehicle has 107,000 original miles. With the exception of some light body work and a preliminary base coat of paint, this car is almost all original with its highly sought after 472 cubic inch motor married to a turbo 400 transmission. It runs and drives beautifully and is fully prepared to be driven home as it sits today. It is currently being used as a weekend driver in Orlando, FL. The interior is all original with cracks in the seats, but NOT on the dashboard. Many of the original features and functions on the car are still in working order today, including the radio, windshield wipers, and all of the lights. The convertible top has been replaced and there is now an aftermarket toggle switch located below the steering column. The car was clearly worked on to be a strong running, driveable car. The frame is impeccable and has clearly never seen any work of any kind. All the body seams line up wonderfully, with all of the mechanics of doors, handles, and hinges working notably well. KNOWN DEFECTS The body work that has been done is less than stellar to say the least. Consequently, the base coat of paint that has been laid down was the bare minimum needed to cover the primer. It will definitely be a good idea to give this car more attention to the bodywork and paint correctly in the future, but looks great for a weekend driver The speedometer needs a new cable. The odometer and trip meter still work perectly All of the chrome has seen better days, and both bumpers need work to be straightened out The convertible top covers the car well enough to sit outside, but water will pool on a cover behind the backseat due to a gap where the cover has come loose. The air conditioning needs to be recharged The convertible top switch has been moved under the steering column as a toggle switch The headliner under the hood is tattered and needs to be replaced The car drops a little power steering fluid, but the pump has been replaced by the previous owner The spark plugs and wires will need to be replaced Seats have cracks, but no major tears There is a leak in one of the exhaust headers, but the exhaust itself is newer and working fine Tires will need balancing, as the car sits 6 days/week FEEL FREE TO CALL WITH QUESTIONS - 585-802-6453
