Up for sale is my beautiful 1960 Rambler American. I have invested over $20,000 and a lot of hard work to get this Rambler in this condition. The engine has been completely professionally rebuilt. The block was bored and the crank was turned. New pistons, rings, wrist pins, rod bearings, main bearings, cam bearings, realigned rods, new rod wrist pin bushings, new cam shaft, new timing gears and chain, new oil pump, new fuel pump. Rebuild cylinder head with new valves, spings, guides, new valve lifters and 3 angle grind. New water pump, rebuilt starter, new $450 alternator which looks like stock generator. New belts and hoses, radiator recored, new heater core, distributor rebuilt, new recovery tank, new remanufacured carburator. Flywheel resufaced, new clutch, new presure plate, new throwout bearing, new transmission seal, rebuilt driveline with new u-joints. New pinon seal, new rear wheel bearings and seals. Complete rebuilt brake system with new master cyclinder, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, new rear brake drums, re-ground front brake drums and rebuilt emergency brake system including cable and weather boots. Completely rebuilt suspensions and rebuilt stearing. New front wheel bearings, seals and dust caps. New engine mounts. Newer paint, new interior, re-chromed bumpers and stainless professionly polished. Cleaned and detailed under carriage. Five new white walls tires, new rims and moon hub caps. New windshield wipers and blades, ground effect lighting, new park and tail light lenses. This car is a head turner day or night driving. This car with the six cylinder and 3 speed overdrive transmission gets great gas mileage. As you can see this car is not like most Rambler Americans advertised on ebay.
