It garnered a 5 horsepower increase over the previous few years, now rated at 390bhp. This was due to some minor modifications of the pistons, heads and camshaft. Very little else was changed, and compression remained at 10:25:1. A very stout performer, this engine was the included engine with the SS427, but could also be had with any big Chevy in 1969. This is one of 2,455 SS Impalas produced in 1969. One of the last of the true muscle cars, this car features a gorgeous interior with bucket seats, center console/ horseshoe shifter and factory air conditioning. The paint looks show quality in the pictures but upon close inspection you will see some imprefections. Regardless, you will be proud to show up at your weekly cruise-in with your new BIG BLOCK SS Impala! Window felts and scrapers are new. We have several receipts for what amounts to a small fortune invested in the car recently. The new owner will be provided with all documentation we have for the car. The car has a new 4bbl carburetor. The car steers well, stops nice and sounds great! The Big 427 pulls hard and has a nice imposing lope at the stop light. It was hard to see but we believe the number on the front of the motor reads T1021L1.
