Selling my 1963 Volvo Pv-544 Sport. I purchased this car this spring for my summer ride. The car supposedly had been in storage for about 6-7 years prior to my purchase. I cleaned the fuel system ( it was actually very clean except for the stale gas), did a minor tune up, changed both center link tie rod ends, adjusted the brakes and drove it about 1000 miles. It drives well, is quite tight and corners like a 544 should. This car is strong where most Volvo's are weak. The front frame where the clutch goes through is excellent, the spare tire well is 100 percent intact and appears original, trunk is excellent, bumpers are solid at mounting points and floors are original. The drivers floor has been damaged right near the front jack socket ( which has also been bent) . My guess is someone damaged it while jacking it up. It is all repairable and the metal is solid. Previous owner painted the underneath of the car which I'm sure helped preserve it. Car has a shiny white paint job but it's not a show paint job but it still presents well for a driver. It does have a few bubbles. The interior has been redone and is a black/fushia color combo. All chrome/stainless is intact and in decent condition as far as dents go. For a car that is almost 50 years old it is very nice. Drive this as an everyday driver, Restore/recommission as you drive ( thats what I was doing) or do a concours restoration. The choice is yours!
