Vehicle Detail

66 coronet 66 dodge coronet deluxe 4 door- orig slant 6, 3 on the tree car. Now has 440 and 18-spline hemi 4-speed. The car is a 35k miles grandma car with 2 bumper dings, and one ding in the front fender (pictures of all of them are here) This car was meant to be a sleeper. The plan was to have a much larger engine in the car, so I had the chassis built or altered accordingly, sort of a mild pro-street. All of the chassis modifications were done by a professional racecar fabricator (High Speed Welding in Illinois) - highspeedwelding.com I have had this car in this condition for 10 years with less than 2000 miles total being put on it since all this work has been done. For the most part, anything not original to the car was new or completely rebuilt 10 years ago and has had less than 2000 miles put on it. Exterior pictures show exhaust system on and off car. Front to back- custom aluminum radiator (USA made), custom fabricated motor plates front and back of block, and custom fabricated torque limiter from k-frame to block, hooker super competition + headers modified with slip-fit joints for easier removal/installation that are ceramic coated, dual 3 inch slip-fit steel exhaust system with H-crossover and 3 inch flowmasters that exit in front of the back wheels, mopar electronic distributor, msd6al, new mopar small chamber modern master cylinder, TCI linelock (red button on dash pictured), 1968 440 HP rebuilt in California by a former DLI associate, .030 over with a decent sounding cam, breathes heavy and likes to rev, but still very steetable and idles just fine. Holley 850 double pumper, braided fuel lines, fuel pressure gauge, jacobs electronics ceramic booted custom 8mm plug wires, lakewood SFI scattersheild bellhousing, new mopar hi-torque ministarter, hayes racing clutch disk, McLeod 3 finger type racing pressure plate, 18 spline hemi 4 speed (rebuilt as of june 2011), hurst competition plus with orig-type bench seat lever, dynamically balanced custom cromoly drive shaft, 68 dodge charger 8-3/4 rear end housing rebuilt, slightly narrowed and fitted with M/E axles, rebuilt 8-3/4 center section with 4.10 gears, complete new rear brakes, new brake lines all around, triangle brand aluminum 18 gal fuel cell with foam baffle and braided line to holley blue fuel pump through a fram fuel filter block, all new 1/2 aluminum fuel line from back (filter) to front inside to out radio delete plate, dodge a100 bucket seat recovered in custom Ames upholstery, custom fabricated aluminum bucket seat perches, 3 inch racing lap belts with harness locks (out of date), rear bench seat custom recovered as close as possible to front buckets, new headliner, new carpet, new autometer superlite aluminum gauges (oil pressure and coolant temp). heater controls and core removed. Professionally prepped and repainted dp90, and then sealed with properly dulled paint, not primer. This car is NOT in primer. Additional Chassis notes- Before all the chassis work was complete I had the entire bottom of the car and engine compartment blasted, cleaned and repainted/sealed - it is very clean and rust free. No crusty wheelwells. Front motor plate, mid engine plate, torque limiter, all fitted directly to the front chassis sub-frame with easy access fasteners. Custom offset crossmember transmission shockmount. Sub-frames tied with thick-wall mild-steel square tube, new super stock springs and perches, springs relocated to be straight and to allow larger tire width clearance, slightly narrowed '68 charger 8-3/4 rear end, completely concealed mini-tubs. I currently have 15x10's running but there is still a lot of clearance for much more. All the chassis work is very well hidden and not obvious. Additional bits- the original bench seat is available and included if you want it, also there are 2 additional hoods, 1 is fiberglass and has the teardrop and has been dp90'd and is just dusty (I planned on using this one when a larger engine was present), and the other is an original steel hood that has a fiberglass or plastic superstock scoop and hoodpins fitted. I have all the trim and badges for the car, some pieces are better than others, it is included as well. A cup of coffee spilled on the new carpeting - I told her to hold onto it! (please see picture of stain) NOTE: Because of the modern master cylinder and the old-school drum brakes at all 4 corners, the brake pedal return position needs manual adjustment - brakes work great, just sometimes the pedal doesn't always come all the way back up. Yes, I installed a residual pressure checkvalve- but it didn't do the trick. I have never been concerned about this in terms of safety at all.. the car has always stopped very well, but it is the one quirk this car has, and I never gave it any thought as I had planned on putting discs in the front anyway, which would take care of this oddity. This is a rock solid, get in and drive it off type car. It's good to go. Sorry no trades. I need less cars. I have over 18K total in this car. The car is very clean and everything is truly 'done right' and tight. Please review the pictures. I have over $18k in the car. - The breakdown is: 1500 for the car, 1800 paint, 8500 chassis work, 1500 trans, 3500 engine, 1500 interior, 500 wheels/tires, PLUS tons of other little things like a rebuilt shifter, MSD, K&N, fuel cell, etc... I am available, so please ask questions. I can take additional pictures if needed. Buyer to pay for all shipping costs. Buyer to make all shipping arrangements. I have a very easy load-out for auto transporters. No paypal for this - certified bank check only with 72 hours clearance before release of the car and title.
