Vehicle Detail
1966 Triumph T120R 650 Bonneville. This motorcycle is a numbers matching barn find discovered in New Hampshire this spring. It was placed in storage approximately 12-14 years ago. The original speedometer stopped working at 14,251 while I was test riding the bike the first time. The owner in NH stored the bike after having trouble starting it after he got it home from having the engine and transmission rebuilt. The transmission was inspected while we had the cases off for polishing. It is brand new. The new engine and transmission now have 33 miles on them - the mileage shown on the new speedometer. I also added a new tachometer so that both gauge faces would match. It starts rides and shifts like brand new. The correct paint is from Don Hutchinson in Wakefield, MA and the tank was painted by David Hurst of Knoxville, TN. The new stainless steel fenders were professionally buffed and polished to a very high state of shine. A new chain guard, swing arm and side stand were installed to return the bike to stock. The replaced items were non-stock chrome parts. Everything on the motorcycle has been rebuilt to new quality. It is now a totally refreshed stock 1966 in original condition with less than 15,000 miles on it. Or looked at another way, it is basically a fresh new 1966 Bonneville with 33 miles on it. Both are true statements. I took a great deal of care to retain the motorcycles "look" and patina. The motorcycle had just the right percentage of new shine to old original as you can see from the pictures. Motorcycle is offered for sale to buyers in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and Japan only. Motorcycle is being sold "as is, where is", and buyer inspection is recommended. The motorcycle is in perfect operating condition. This is a buy-it-now only sale. A $500 down payment is payable by buyer to my PayPal account within 24 hours of purchase, with full payment due within three days of purchase. Acceptable payment methods are cash in person, cashier’s check via FedEx, or by electronic wire funds transfer. Motorcycle does not leave property until all funds are confirmed in my accounts. I will assist with shipping arrangements but Buyer remains solely responsible for all crating and shipping costs. Serious buyers only please.
