Vehicle Detail

Other Than 1 repaint, And the rims, This is a all orginal Rust free camaro. This car came in from Idaho, which is a very dry climate, And has preserved this camaro just about perfictly. This car can be driven anywhere in the country with no worries of any kind. BODY, The body on this car is orginal, No Rust, Or repairs of any kind ever. The floors are perfict. In the underneith pics, It looks kinda dirty, Its some kind of undercoating. In the one pic I scraped the undercoating off to show a perfict floor, Just as clean as the day it left the factory. Its the same way throughout the whole underneith of this car. The trunk has its orginal trunk splatter, and still looks nice, The shock towers are also perfict. Underneith, the trunk drop offs are perfictly factory spot welded to the bottoms of the quarters, no rust, or blistering. The frame rails, are perfict. The spring perches very clean, This is not a restored car in anyway, Just a perfictly preserved car. The quarters, have no rust or repairs anywhere on them. Very straight with no waves of any kind. The rockers are perfict, The doors are also perfict, the bottom seams are clean and crisp, No repairs. The fenders are also the same way.. Plainly put, You will not find a nicer orginal body The paint on this car is very nice. It has very nice uniform color, Nice color and depth. It is not over done with miles of depth, or high luster clear. It looks more like what it would have had orginal, But its not the orginal paint. The color is close to the orginal color, but is a bit darker. In the pic of the door corner, you can see the orginal color. Either way, the paint is very nice, and does not need paint. I did find a few chips, very small, There is no door dings in the body or dents of any kind. No bubbles or blistering anywhere. The chrome is excelent on this car, Very nice with no pitting ENGINE & DRIVELINE This is an orginal 6cyl car, with manual 3spd on the column. The engine is the orginal one that the car left the factory with. It runs perfict with no smoke, or leaks of any kind. There is no modifications to the engine of any kind. Just a pure stock 6 cyl I dont know if the clutch is orginal or not, I do know it works perfictly, with no shaking when released, or slipping when accelerated on the gas pedal. The trans is the orginal 3 speed saginaw, with shifting on the column. It goes in every gear perfictly, with no grinding, or binding of the linkage I belive the rear is also orginal, It has good highway gears, as you can drive down the highway at 70, and the car does not act like the engine is screaming, Yet it pulls away from a red light with out slipping the clutch. No power steering or power brakes, but this car is very easy to drive, Steers very easy, and stops very well. Mechanicaly, This car is perfict. It needs nothing! INTERIOR The interior is almost all orginal, With the addition of aftermarket radio, and 10 disc CD changer, Everything else is orginal. Dash pad is perfict, Headliner is also perfict. Seats are nice, rugs could use a cleaning, but still nice. Door panels are fraying slightly at bottoms, but no need to replace them. All guages and everything works in this car. The tires are very good, brakes are also great. All lights turn signals, everything works. MY INTENTIONS WITH THIS CAR I bought this car because almost over night I could have transformed this car into a beautiful looking muscle car. Just the addition of the rims alone made it look mean. I was going to put a ZL2, (cowl induction hood) on it, add the rear spoiler and nose stripe, And this car would fit right in with the hottest supersports and Z's I also had intentions of adding a LS1 engine and upgrade the suspension. After driving the car and really enjoying the orginality of it, I have decided to leave it alone. For now. I do have 3 other cars Im working on right now, so this one is sitting. I decided to offer it up for sale and let someone elses imagination run wild with it, or simply leave it alone. I have bought camaros, and by the time I fixed the bodys, and painted them, I had more into them than what the reserve is on this one. These cars are 42-44 years old, and its very hard to find a perfict body camaro. You can buy a new body for 12,000 and still have to put paint on it, and put it togeather, Or buy a perfict body car like this one that needs nothing. Being a 6cyl car, you wont mind changing anything. Or leave it alone and enjoy it now. You can come and inspect this car anytime during the auction, or have someone come and inspect it for you. You will not be dissapointed in anyway. You can also call me for any other info. 716-397-4379. I really dont mind keeping this car, as I have searched for bodies this nice, only to come up short. This would make a great winter project if you are looking to clone it as something else, or leave it sit for next springs cruising season. On Oct-30-11 at 06:26:51 PDT, seller added the following information: I do have the orginal set of rims that came on this car. 5 in all including the spare. They are standard steel rims that probally had hub caps. I do not have the hub caps.
