I'm selling, because my Powerstroke is broken, and I need money to fix it. What you are viewing is a very special vehicle for a diesel or rat rod enthusiast. The Chassis, drivetrain, computer, guages, and steering wheel are all 1995 Dodge 3500 dually with a Cummins 12valve 5.9L Inline 6cyl. Turbo Diesel. The diesel has approx. 100K miles on a rebuild. The body is a 1953 Chevy 3800 1+ton type cab. It is not a 1/2 ton; the front fenders are wider. This vehicle is very fast and very reliable. It has a Griffin radiator and electric fan to keep it cool. I haven't needed to use the electric fan, as the water temp. has stayed around or below 180. The correct hood for the cab comes with the truck, but is not on, because of clearance issues. the intake would have to be modified to fit the hood. the Cummins motor has a modified fuel plate, and a strong Holset turbo. It has not been dynoed, but estimates are in the area of 300hp and 600lb/ft. it is definately fast, loud, ugly, and awesome. The fifth wheel hitch is simply strapped on for weight. It could be welded/bolted on. This truck would have no problem pulling huge weight, but it is fun just to drive around. As you may see there is a hole in the driver windscreen. The windshields are glass, and the side windows and back window are plexiglass. Don't buy this as a restoration project: it is a rat rod: 1953 Chevy on 1995 Dodge Chassis. I'm told that the farm was owned at one point by Burt Reynolds. If that info is correct, then Burt Reynolds owned the 1953 Chevy at one point. As much as I enjoy trades, I need to restrain myself from entertaining the idea: Money is what I need: a yard full of unique vehicles is what I've got.
