You are bidding on a nicely restored 1953 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Ton Pickup. The truck was built in Oakland, CA and was one of the first hundred trucks off the line that year. The truck went through a $22K frame off restoration in 2001 and has approximately 5000 miles since. The frame was pulled off, the undercarriage was detailed, the paint and body was professionally redone, new interior and headliner was installed, new wood bed and cross sections, new wheels, tired and hubcaps, and a brand new V8 drive train was installed. The truck maintains much of its originality other than the updated Chevy 350 motor and Turbo 350 Transmission. This truck really scoots along!The green paint shines nicely with no fading or major imperfections. The wood in the bed still looks brand new. The whitewall tires really set this truck off, especially with the rare side mounted spare. The undercarriage is clean with no cancerous rust. The front and rear suspension are new...not tired like other "restored" trucks. The drum brakes are tight and the truck stops straight with no pulling. The glass is in great shape with only one vent glass crack and one divot in the corner of the windshield. The Speedometer will need to be repaired as the needle is broken and it is not sitting in the dash like it should. The body is INCREDIBLY straight with no waves in the paint. Door gaps, tailgate and hood all fit nicely (No evidence of accidents or towing). There are some minor scratches but no dents or dings. See the pics for the details. The chrome is in very nice condition...very shiny with no pitting. The truck maintains much of its originality, but the drivetrain has been updated with a Chevy 350 motor and Turbo 350 Transmission. This truck really scoots along!

The rest of the truck remains original, but has been restored to a very nice condition. The green paint shines in the sun and the wood in the bed looks like new. The whitewall tires really set this truck off, especially with the rare side mounted spare.

The undercarriage is clean with no cancerous rust. The front and rear suspension are new...not tired like other "restored" trucks. The drum brakes are tight and the truck stops straight with no pulling.
