I have owned this car for nearly thirty years and most of that time it has been garage-kept. I no longer have a garage for it and I can't bear to see it sit outside another winter. So it must go. A summary of the high (and low) lights: The engine has about 2000 miles on a lower end overhaul with new pistons and liners, all new rod and main bearings, and new timing chains. The crank was magnafluxed, miked, the journals polished, and all the oil passage plugs were replaced with screw-in plugs. The engine is fitted with a European exhaust manifold and the air pump has been removed. The rear brake calipers were replaced subsequent to the engine overhaul. The car has four good Pirelli Cinturatos on Cromodora alloy wheels. The body is straight, except for a small ding next to the left headlight. It has never suffered any significant damage. There is some rust around the rear window and at the bottom of the windshield. As a result, water leaks into the driver's side footwell. The front wheel wells have some rust. Not real bad. The rocker panels are solid. The windshield is cracked. All other glass is intact. The interior is mostly quite good except for the driver's seat. The seat cushion is coming apart. There are some minor electrical problems (dash lights and such) that need troubleshooting. There is something amiss with the drive line resulting in vibration and some fouling with the shift linkage in the 1st-2nd gate. I suspect the problem is a failed center support bearing, but I have not verified that. I have driven the car around the block recently but I would consider it not drivable until the problem has been diagnosed and fixed. Caveat emptor. Alfettas are not particularly complex by today's standards. Most mechanical parts are available at reasonable prices. Nonetheless, they have some unusual and idiosyncratic features. If you are not intimately familiar with them I recommend you do some research before bidding.
