1972 BMW 2002tii fuel injected (rare) not running. Body and interior in awsome condition. The engine is currently out of the vehicle and disassembled. This past May, I acquired the vehicle after my uncle passed away suddenly in San Francisco. I had the vehicle sent from San Fran to Las Vegas, where it has been in my garage ever since. I discovered (after pulling the head) that the number one piston was blown. I pulled the engine from the vehicle and sent it to the machine shop for a boiling and full diagnosis (Jack's Machine Shop) here in LV. Jack's shop told me that the head was also cracked and would need replacing...The engine is re-buildable, but would require boring (40 over) and new pistons. Between machining labor and new parts, I estimated the cost of putting the engine back together around 3,000 dollars. The clear coat on the roof and trunk have been effected by UV over the years and will need re-painting...There is slight rust above the (2) rear wheel wells and drivers side rocker...nothing serious. The interior is beautiful! see pics. Based on the fact that I am into American muscle cars and not the 2002tii...I decided to put it up for bid.
