1963 Buick Riviera 1963 Buick Riviera VIN # 7J1053462 Engine # J?009820 (401-V8 -Nailhead) 01D - Flint Style 63-4747 Body FB18808 Trim 788J2 Acc D 16N2 SU7 I've had this beauty since I was 18 years old (and I'm now 45). Fortunately in all those years, I had never wrecked it - thats right, not even a little fender bender. Its obvious to everyone who has ever looked at it, clearly this car has always been loved and well cared for. This is a very nice, original, SUPER STRAIGHT (they just don't come any better unrestored), ideal project car with one small area of rust just beginning in left rear quarter behind wheel well. This car came with the deluxe interior option which included real walnut inserts on the doors and below the rear side windows. Popular extra-cost options included on this car is tilt steering wheel, power windows, power driver's seat, air conditioning, a remote-control side view mirror, and white sidewall tires. It still proudly displays all 4 of its original hubcaps, original chrome bumpers, trim and emblems and the original factory silver metallic headliner! It did originally come with leather seats throughout, but the front driver and passenger seatcovers were replaced about 20 years ago with a less expensive vinyl (which actually still look pretty damn good!) This past summer I spent over $3,500 completing the following very expensive and less fun, but neccessary type of work. Items still needing to be done . . . (depending on level of restoration desired) Bleed Brakes Replace exhaust/muffler Replace Interior & Headliner Repair/replace wood grain & door panels Exterior Paint Tires Dash Pad & Vinyl Replace Rear Speaker Deck The only items missing on this car, but seem to be readily available, ARE; windshield chrome trim molding, vent window handles, hood ornament, trunk liner, spare wheel/tire and both lower interior courtesy light lenses. Other than those handful of items, it is an almost entirely complete (which is almost unheard of), impressively strong running, desirable classic car, now just awaiting its new adventure and owner.
