This is one of the most interesting and highly equipped CJ's I have seen in a very long time. Almost everything on this vehicle is just like it left from the factory in 1982. It was purchased new in January of 1982 in Dartmouth Massachusetts where it spent most of it's life garaged and had that same owner up until April of 2007. Over the last 10 years this Jeep has driven less than one thousand miles per year and some years only to get an inspection sticker and oil change and right back to the garage. As you can see in the following pictures this vehicle comes equipped with just about every option available in 1982 from factory carpeted floormats and headliner that are still intact to the heavy duty cooling system. The body is in extremely great shape for a CJ of it's vintage. It is definately not a rust free Jeep and does photograph well but the driver and passenger floors are completely intact as well as the rear load floor. Underneith the carpet there is slight surface rust but no perferation. What's interesting is that when you pull up the carpet to view the floor it actually has sound deadening material glued to it's backside. The areas in which there is rust beginning/bubbling are around the lower rocker mouldings but the typical area below the embossed Jeep logo is rust free. There are also the beginnings around the rear corner seam areas by the tail lights. The vehicle did receive a complete outer re-paint at one time although I'm not aware of when. Decals were re-applied after the body work but I don't believe them to be OEM. Everything else on the Jeep is intact and in good working order including the original factory radio. As you can see in the pictures the tuner knob stem is broken but I do have the knob. All of the interior dash lights work including the courtesy lights for the doors. The gauges are all in working order including the gas gauge and fog lamps. This Jeep also comes equipped with factory air conditioning that works as well. Under the hood everything is intact. The vehicle is like some sort of time capsule where all of the vacuum lines, decals, hood insulation and even the hose from the air cleaner to the radiator are still there. Even the hood light works! The frame is completely solid as well and I have tried my best to photograph all and as much of it as possible. It had some sort of rust inhibitor applied when new. The Jeep runs and drives well as is tight driving down the road. I have not done anything to this Jeep other than a quick recon. It will most likely need a tune up and tires along with a general once over although everything is currently in good working order. Since the vehicle has been sitting for sometime additive has been added to the fuel. It really should have the fuel drained/replaced and I would recommend a good cleaning of the carburetor and it should be clear sailing.
