2006 Ford Freestar SEL Drives but Just Got Hit :-( as is/ First off, the miles. This is my Ebay mobile. I use it to travel 17 states looking for instruments for our company to restore. As my facebook shows, and my friends all know, I had every intention of getting 500,000 miles out of it :-). I have gotten over 200,000 out of my last 4 vans before trading them in. To that end, I have religiously taken it in every 8-12 weeks and told the mechanics, fix anything that is even suspect. In the past year I had a new windshield, CV joint, Bridgestone Tires ( 75%+)w/ alignment, serpentine belt and the transmission front shaft upgrade ( replaced plastic one with metal one ). Until an old guy didn’t make the light and introduced me to the boat hitch on the pickup in front of me, it was nice. If you were driving it, you would think it had maybe 30-40,000 miles. It rides great with perfect alignment and has NEVER failed me or left me stranded. Even after the accident, I drove 225 miles home and then my wife took it to Memphis the next day ( 300 rd trip ). I parked it for the last 6 weeks while fighting with his insurance agent and went out to move it in the driveway yesterday to wash our other cars. Started right up and not a problem but I heard a squeal coming from the engine belts for a couple seconds ?? The alternator charges fine and the van stays cool while running but it definitely squealed. Either way, I have been using my wife’s Rendezvous and have decided it is my new road warrior. Gives her an excuse to get a new car :-). I got a check from his insurance finally and have decided to just cut my losses and let my old friend go. I purchased it 4 months old from our local dealer who was using it to travel between his dealerships. The interior is very nice, the leather shows light aging ( mainly to the drivers entry side), Headliner nice, everything works great, dual front AC controls, separate rear AC, 6CD upgrade stereo w/ steering wheel controls, tilt, cruise, auto lights, keyless entry, 4 captains. The damage consists of ( rear- scuffed bumper cover, small spot rear fender and scuff on tail gate ) and it was pushed up on a large tow hitch ( damage to bumper cover, battery case, heat shield and dent to radiator support ), other minor scratches and dings. I was going to make them replace everything that was even scratched :-), but other than the squeak, I do not believe anything needs replacement :-). Use it as it is, make it pretty again, or use her parts to save others...... Selling her strictly as is for repair or parts only. Buyer to pick up or make arrangements for shipping. Good title and 1 remote in hand.
