Vehicle Detail
1970 AMC Rebel Machine I have had this car for a while, the restoration was definitly a process, a long one. If your reading this you probably know how hard it is to find parts for them. I ended up buying a donor car to get body panals, interior parts, and tons of miscellaneous parts from (which is available also) This car was originally a 4 spd, as you can tell from the pedals, I cant find a 4 speed tranny anywhere so we put the automatic from the other car in it. I would love to hold on to it and find the right transmission and finish it up but just dont have the time or room for it anymore. This car is 95% done, it only needs little things. I couldnt find the knob for the autmomatic shifter, so that is needed. On either car i never had the trunk lock, and i never had a passenger side mirror. The trim around the front grille has yet to be found either, and the dash has a few cracks in it. Other than those little things, the car runs great, and starts on the first crank every time. The power steering is smooth, It has new exhaust, new paint, new decals, new carpet, the bumpers are in great shape, the rear has a little surface rust. Whatever we could get new for the car we did, luckily we have that other car for parts, but like I said, not much is available. This is a solid car, and another reason we didnt do a full frame off restoration. If you have any questions just ask and ill do my best to answer them. The car is for sale locally so i may end auction at any time. Thanks!
