Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1960 Belair. It is Red with a white top, as well as the interior being the same colors. I drove thiscar for a few years, but my recent illness has depleted my driving and fixing abilities. It has a rebuilt small block 350, 4 bolt main, high rise intake, 650 carb, etc. Did the normal freshening up, and runs very strong. The transmission is a wide ratio muncie, not sure of which model, and cannot crawl underneath to get any numbers, very sorry about this. The transmission is very tight, and does NOT drip, slip, or make any noise. The rearend i believe has 4.10 gears in it, Posi traction also. I recently adjusted all the brakes, put new Gabriel shocks up front, air shocks in the rear, new plugs, wires, belts, etc. This is a running and driving project. The interior is in fair to good condition. The seats and door panels are in great shape. The kick panels need to be replaced, as well, the carpet is faded but not torn or anything, just sun spotted a little. The headliner looks good, and all the gauges are there, some do not work though. There is a 5 inch tach on the steering column also. The trunk is in great shape, with no holes. The driver side rear lower quarter panel will need worked on. It is bubbling and somebody has painted over it, and looks a total different color. Seemed like an easy fix, just not my expertise to tackle. Also, there is a little rust near the rear bumper and some on the trunk lid, but everything seems very solid for the most part. The rims are brand new "Moonie" style rims and the sizes are 15x6 up front and 15x10 in the rear. New tires were mounted on during the same time. Also has a newer battery, less than a year old. I have driven this early this year, but can barely use my legs now, so the clutch is killing me trying to drive it. Would be an awesome winter project, or father son project. Like i said before, it is a running driving car. I would recommend however to trailer this vehicle when picked up. There is no warranty and i expressed the car to the best of my knowledge. I can show the vehicle at anytime. The car sat outside the last month and a half, and needs washed. I will TRY and have my son clean it this week. I will not ship this vehicle anywhere. You buy it, you move it. Cash or money order accepted, Sorry--no Checks On Oct-16-11 at 09:30:49 PDT, seller added the following information: The reserve is WAY less than what it is worth and what i have invested. Bidding will start at half of what the reserve is! On Oct-16-11 at 19:40:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry, keep forgetting stuff. I had a full custom exhaust put on last fall. The pipes come out by the rear tires. There are not any exhaust tips, i'll let the new owner decide on which ones they like more. The mufflers are Flowmaster Original 40's series. I also have 2 brand new side mirrors for the car, I am hard of hearing, so i needed them on so i could drive. I do have a clear title, that will be notarized when picked up. As always, the car is 51 years old. It is VERY clean for its age, But is not as tight and or handle like a new car. this is a used car and and is a running project. I have driven it about 400 miles this year alone, but just cant drive since my ailment. I did take to cruise-ins and what not. This is not a Show-Stopper piece, just a very nice driver. Just trying to make this description as clear and true as i can. On Oct-21-11 at 19:31:48 PDT, seller added the following information: I just uploaded some pictures of the trunk lid, trunk, and the bad rear quarter. The pictures were taken from my cellphone, so sorry for the bad quality. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICTURES BEFORE BIDDING. What you see is what you get. As-is, NO WARRANTY. I described this car to the best of my abilities. It is a running and driving PROJECT, It is not perfect or a show car. You can take some time over the winter and finish the little stuff and have yourself a nice driver. If anybody wants to see the car, I will be available Saturday afternoon, (440)463-9050. I will try and post more pictures of the floors and underneath tomorrow afternoon. Please no non-paying buyers, If you bid and win, you pay for the car, at the price you bid!!
