1972 Triumph Bonneville

Look what I found:1972 Triumph Bonneville T120V....All original unrestored bike.Original paint,original seat,original motor,etc....2 owners and stored inside most of the last 20 years! This is the 650cc T120V with the rare 5 speed trans as they were first available on late `72 models.I got this bike from the 2nd owner.He says this is the way he got it from the 1st owner in 1990,and is all original except tires,and grips.....though I`m sure bulbs,and other minor things have been replaced. It hadn`t run in a few years so I drained the gas(no rust),installed a new battery,and had my mechanic clean/synch the carbs & varooooom.Started right up!NO knocking.Idles smooth.Runs very strong.Excellent clutch/trans. I drove it 45 miles this afternoon,and what a blast!Like riding a motorcycle time machine.Spent more time showing it off than actually riding.It was so much fun I`m heading out Sunday for a longer ride. Needs:tiny oil leak at tach cable.Wouldn`t hurt to do a service,and safety inspection.
