Renault Dauphine, 4 door. Restoration project. Has been sitting under oak trees for about 10 years, so has some residue from the trees on it. Engine is complete, and was running ten years ago, but will need work to make it run again. Interior needs work. Needs tires. The dent in the roof shown in the pictures was made by one of the kids playing on it, but has been popped out again. Looks like it was never there. Front seats are not fastened down to the floor board. They are sitting on wood boards. Floorboard has a place on the passengers side that was rusted through some. Only found small areas of surface rust here and there on the body. Trunk area (in front of car) had some rusted through spots on passenger side, and there's a very small hole rusted through near the left side of the rear windshield. The red color on the top and back is where the paint has worn down to the primer. Windshield needs to be replaced. Driver seat is not original. No ignition key found. Buyer will need to bring a trailer with ramps and help to load it, but that shouldn't be a hard job. Not a lot to say about it, except it's a neat little car that would make an interesting machine restored. There is no title on this vehicle. We checked with the tax assessor's office, and they said it has been dropped completely off the system, so an abandoned vehicle title would have to be applied for. The car does not say Dauphine on it, but I'm listing it as one because it's an exact duplicate of a Renault Dauphine so figured that's what it is. Trying to keep the information as true as possible, so please check back on the description for any changes we happen to find. Please Note - Had listed the car as a 1969, because we were told the last two digits of the VIN were the year, but found on the internet that they were not made after 1968, so now we're not sure of the year. We think it may be a 1962 from what we've seen on the internet, but can't be sure. A year was required on the listing, so I put 1968 on it. Must be picked up at it's location, about 4 miles North of Boerne, Texas, which is about 25 miles North of San Antonio. Buyer will be responsible for all necessary personal and equipment to load and haul. I'm not the owner of the vehicle, just trying to help out the people that own it, as it's part of an estate we're trying to settle.
