1996 Triumph Thunderbird

1996 Triumph thunderbird, about 33,000 miles. Engine was completely overhauled at 20,200 miles, also intake was ported and it is jetted. I did compare it to a stock thunderbird and it is considerably more peppy. Has triumph king & queen seat ($350), triumph sissy bar with luggage rack($350), flanders chrome handlebar($115), retro foot pegs ($90), newer tires, HID lamp kit ($80), front fender mud guard, saddlebag chrome brackets(no saddlebags), side outlet mufflers sound great, new air filter/box, comes with owners manual, tool kit and haines workshop manual. The bike was laid down at slow speed last november, no structural damage, has scrape on left side engine cover, blinker and clutch lever/reservoir. Small chip in gas tank. I tried to show in pictures. There are other small scratches/chips from normal use. There are decals on the tank that are now faded, they can be removed. I ride down to 30 deg and it always starts & runs fine. It does use a little coolant below 50 deg, I suspect small crack in exhaust port because it smokes on startup but the oil & spark plugs are always clean. Above 50 it is not a problem. It has done this since I bought it in spring 2006. I just add a little coolant when needed and haven't had any problems. The gas tank was also thoroughly cleaned/removed rust and resealed when I bought it, again no problems since. Brake & clutch fluids were flushed last year. Battery was replaced 7/2009. It has been a great bike, no issues. I am only selling because I wanted a larger touring bike. I'm sure whoever ends up with it will be very pleased. Thanks for looking, Marti 847-946-2693.
