1975 Mercedes-Benz 280C. W114 Chassis Coupe, Runs and drives great. Very nice condition overall, ideal for an individual that is looking for a restoration project. Paint and body condition is good overall, some chips in doors and sides, clear coat on roof is sun faded and the clear coat as shown in the photographs, otherwise a nicely preserved body and paint still shines. Chrome work is bright and pit free. Interior is in average condition for its age with the biggest flaw being torn material on the drivers side seat with some sun damage on the passenger side seat (fading). The interior color is Tobacco, The interior wood needs to be re-clear coated but is in nice condition underneath the clear coat. There is cracks in the dash, but a brand new dash cap will be included with the sale (not installed). The seat belt bracket is broken off for the passenger seat, but I do have it. The drivers side door pocket has been broken off. Lastly, the gage cluster needs to have the seal replaced that holds it in place, but all gages work, for the cluster lighting, Have not looked to see if a bulb is blown. Lights and turn indicators are all in working order. The air condition condenser has been removed and is with the car, but I have never taken the time to replace or test, it may or may not work. Passenger and drivers power windows work, but rear windows are slow and do not go fully down. The engine compartment is clean and in nice condition, Very straight body, with only minimal rusting as shown in pictures primarily on drivers side rear fender (only visible from underside of car). Engine starts easily and runs smoothly, very smooth and nice driving car. Drives great! Brakes are excellant and stops quickly. Burns a slight amount of oil during warm up. The muffler rattles on undercarriage during hard cornering, it is missing some rubber dampers. Interior is very well sealed with no wind noise during driving and no leaks or drips.
