FOR SALE TODAY; 1998 FORD CROWN VICTORIA P71 (POLICE INTERCEPTOR ) This is a (1) owner State Police car that was a take home unit driven by only (3) troopers since new. It is equipped with the High-Output 4.6 Fuel injected Police Package V-8 Engine,Dual Exhaust and Heavy Duty 4-Speed Automatic Transmission. Special Police Handling Package,sway bars,shocks,heavy duty disc brakes etc. It also has Cold Air Conditioning,Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors, AM/FM/Stereo Radio,Tilt Steering Wheel ,Rear Window Defroster,Power Deck Lid Release and Cruise Control. This car also has the deluxe appearence package which gives you full carpeting, cloth rear bench seat,some exterior chrome ,however it still has front bucket seats, The tires are at about 65% tread life all around. As with most Police service units there are scratches,dings,dents,chips,and rust that the camera can't show up as well as touched up areas on the paint.. There are also several holes where police equipment,radios,antennas etc, were removed and some plugged and I tried to take pictures to show that.The steering shaft on Crown Victoria models had a tendency to get dry(Stiff feeling) and this car does have that flaw. I have tried to grease it and it did get alittle better, but I'm not saying that will have cured the problem and may need replaced, to fix the problem completely. These cars were on a very strict maintence program until there retirement,but not everything was fixed before they did retire them. Otherwise the car drives out fine,(in my opinion only),with plenty of power and shifts very smoothly,with (no check engine) lites on. However, as with all of our NO RESERVE AUCTIONS, this car is being SOLD AS-IS AS SEEN IN PHOTIOS with NO WARRANTY IMPLIED OR EXPRESSED FOR ANY MECHANICAL OR PHYSICAL CONDITION, These cars are 10 or more years old,so expect to spend some money on them, they are not fully reconditioned vehicles.The winning bidder will be required to pay Illinois State Sales Tax, Registration Fees, and a Doc Fee which will be added to the final price. Out of State bidders will only pay a Doc Fee and Drivaway Sticker Fee if desired and pay sales tax and registration in their home state.
