I bought this car for my daughter 8 years ago when it came off lease from the first owner. She really doesn't use it anymore. I hate to sell it because it has been so reliable and safe. But, it is just sitting on the driveway as an extra vehicle, so it is offered here at no reserve to the best offer at the end of the auction. True reserve, auction starts at $1! This V8 1999 Ford Explorer drives and handles very well. It starts right up, the engine runs smooth, the transmission shifts well, battery is good. The power steering, power brakes, power windows all work well. The power locks open everything, but the passenger side does not lock electrically and must be manually closed. I suspect it is not an expensive repair. The radio works great, but the LED light for the radio works intermittently. The CD player works well. The gray leather interior is in nice shape, worn, but no rips or tears. Overall the interior is nice and clean, no smells, never been smoked it. The car is jet black with some white lines, no accidents, no rust but a few dings including one on the hood and some mild rust by the gas tank under the cap, but absolutely nothing major. Windows are good, small chip in the drivers windshield around a 1/4 of an inch. The tires are in good shape probably 50-60% wear left on them. The rims look good. The car has always been well maintained, regular oil changes, repairs done when necessary, tuned up last year, etc. The vehicle has always been a pleasure, no major problems, fun to drive, high up and very safe feeling. Average around 16-18 miles per gallon using regular gas. Car available for test drive or inspection prior to auction end. Please bid only if you have the funds.
