Vehicle Detail

Up for auction with NO RESERVE starting at $1. There is no "Buy It Now". Hi Bidder gets it! Bid it to win it. In my humble opinion this is simply the nicest Pro Touring 1969 Camaro Convertible on the planet. Imagine your favorite vintage body style with an all modern drivetrain, one that handles and performs like a late model Super Car! The restoration started in 2004 with a rolling X11 body, completely disassembled it. Stripped all the paint off of it. When replacing the necessary sheetmetal a weld through primer was used, so this car is better than the rest, right down to the molecular level. Every nut, bolt, and screw were removed, and replaced along with every piece of rubber. All systems were upgraded to save weight and increase performance. All body panels and gaps were then perfectly aligned. This '69 Camaro Convertible hit the streets in 2007 after a complete custom restoration, and has had 20,000 fun filled miles put on it since. (Odometer shows 63,XXX miles) It is always stored with the top in the up position, and the car covered in the climate controlled garage. I have not had the car out of our dry Colorado climate, but I wouldn't be afraid of driving/taking it anywhere that the sun shines. The car is detailed after every drive, but with those miles come some minor wear. The upholstery is definitely useable as is, and it gets lots of compliments, but the car is not going to win the AMBR with it. It also has a few minor chips/imperfections in the paint which have been touched up. ( Please see the photos and videos for yourself) Some of the Pro Touring modifications include: *350 Cubic Inch Light Weight Aluminum LS1 Engine with Z06 Intake and Red Z06 Coil Covers. Better than a heavy old big block! *Paddle Shifted 4l60E Transmission that is fully programmable with your laptop. Paddle shifters are totally optional, with the flick of a switch it's fully automatic. Flip the other switch next to it, and you get a 25% firmer shift. It's a lot more fun than a 4 speed! *All Aluminum Corvette C4 Independent Rear Suspension with QA1 Dual Adjustable Coil over shocks. Lighter than a 12 bolt with leaf springs! *Front suspension and subframe feature Power Rack & Pinion Steering with it's own Cooling System. Guldstrand Modification was performed on the subframe, which in addition to the QA1 Dual Adjustable Coil over shocks makes this thing handle like a race car! *Front Sub-frame is Solidly Connected to the Rear, and looks like it came that way from the factory. In the pictures on the lift, the car is being supported on the subframe connectors. *QA1 Coil Over Shocks feature ride height adjustment along with firmness, and rebound settings. *Power Disc Brakes with 13" Slotted and Drilled Rotors in the front, and 12" Slotted and Drilled Rotors rears. *Port matched Custom Headers merge into a 350 cubic inch Resonator, then through dual Magnaflows. It's near silent at lower RPMs, and sounds great at the upper RPMs with no power loss *Battery relocated to the right rear trunk for better weight distribution. *Cragar SS 8"X17" wheels with new 275-40-17 rear tires and new 245-45-17 front tires. Classic staggered look! *Marquez Design Billet Tail Lights, and Billet Front Signal/Parking Lights. www.marquezdesign.com *Projector Beam 7" Round Headlights. *Polished Billet Aluminum steering wheel with matching polished Billet Aluminum Paddle Shifters. *Glass Rear Window in the convertible top. *Custom Interior including a color matched, smooth, one of a kind, late model dash. *Glass smooth Intense Blue Pearl Paint. (Originally a Dodge Viper Color) *White SS stripes are not able to be felt on the surface, the clear coat was hand polished smooth above them. *Clear Bra on the nose, and behind all wheel wells. *Matching White Boot Cover. *Car cover *Convenience items include: Interior Lights in the Rear View Mirror, Tilt Steering Column, Intermittent Wipers, R134A Air Conditioning (may need to be charged), 4 Cup Holders. *After driving the '69, Dennis Parker, owner of Pueblo Imports, said "This thing is amazing, you should Autocross it"! Coming from one who gets paid to test drive Porsches, Audi R8s, and Lamborghinis for a living, this really means a lot. Below are links to some videos that I took of the car on Monday, Sept. 26th, 2011. I have a slow computer/connection, but I find it best to click on it, wait for it to run once unattended, while getting my favorite beverage, then expand the video to full screen by clicking on the little box that has 4 arrows in the lower right hand corner, then press the triangle, and enjoy. You are more than welcome to have the vehicle inspected by a 3rd party prior to the auction end. Winning bidder to contact the seller within 24 hours of auction end to set up vehicle delivery, and pay a non refundable Security Deposit of $1000.00 by PayPal. The balance of the winning bid to be paid in cash at a local branch bank of your choosing like Wells Fargo, Ent, First National, US Bank, Vectra... in exchange for the clear title to the car. (In Colorado Springs, or Pueblo, Colorado) Any other arrangements must be pre approved by the seller. The only trades that I would consider might be a late model Jaguar XKR coupe, Corvette ZO6-ZRl, Maserati Gran Turismo coupe, Lotus Evora, or maybe an older Aston Martin coupe. If you would like to discuss trading in one of these vehicles, please contact me prior to the auction end. Scammers don't waist your time, or mine! By bidding you are entering a legal and binding contract, please bid what you can afford, and only what funds you have readily available. There will be NO renogiating after the auction ends, this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. Fly in, and I'll pick you up at the Colorado Springs Airport, then you can drive it home. The Fall colors are spectacular this time of year. I'd be happy to provide loading assistance for your prefered shipping company as well. Please call Gerald at 719-250-5244 with any questions after looking at all of the photos and videos. Texts, or Emails will be answered with a YES, or a NO, and may be included at the bottom of the page. Good luck to all. Thanks for looking, and Happy Bidding! On Oct-01-11 at 04:25:41 PDT, seller added the following information: In my opinion feedback says a lot about the way people are willing to do business and treat their fellow man. We all have to start out with 0, and earn our way toward receiving positive feedback. Unfortunately I have no idea how many times a Bidder has started out at 0. While I encourage everyone to bid, I would kindly request Bidders with less than 5 Positive Feedbacks to please contact me prior to auction end. Bidders with any Negative Feedback...please contact me to explain the situation. Bidders with 0 feedback MUST contact me prior to bidding, or your bid will be cancelled. On Oct-05-11 at 18:31:02 PDT, seller added the following information: After cleaning the out the garage, I found a few things that I can include along with the car. When it reaches $40,000, I'll include the nicely framed and matted Picture of the '69. When it reaches $50,000, I'll include the matching Restored 1973 Craftsman Toolbox. When it reaches $60,000, I'll include the mostly complete 427 Cubic Inch Stroker LS3 Engine. The engine is just mocked up with the parts loosely bolted to the 6.2 Liter Block. The main things missing on the engine are the 6.125" Connecting Rods, Lifters, Push rods, Rocker arms, Rear Cover, Valley Cover, Valve covers, some bolts, and gaskets. The machine work is all done for the Manley Pistons, and Scat Crank, and the new cam bearings are in it for the Texas Speed Cam. New dual Isky springs are held in with Titanium Retainers. The Stainless Headers Look like they will fit with a slight relocation of the exhaust pipes. The engine would be easier to handle and ship in pieces. When it reaches $70,000 I will include enclosed shipping of the '69 to your destination in the continental United States after the car is paid in full. Thanks again for looking.
