Vehicle Detail

This is a car I bought back in 2004 when a Mustang collector in Arkansas died. He had them all from rare to fairly common and all of them were in great shape and stored in an airplane hangar. He had a R-code Shelby GT350 for his collection and he built this one as an exact replica to use in vintage racing events. Very fast car, I bought it to race as well, but never did. It is a very correct R-code with no expense spared to get it to be an exact match of the Shelby he already owned. 289 Hi-Po balanced and blueprinted, roller cam and rockers, 11.5:1 compression ratio, Shelby 7 qt oil pan, 289 performance intake, 750cc Holley double-pumper, Hi-Po Matchported heads and intake, MSD electronic ignition, Tri-Y headers with H pipe, 2 1/2 Flowmaster exhaust. Dyno @ 350hp.The original transmission was the BW 4 speed but I replaced it with a Tremac 5 sp to give it more flexibility on the highway with a competition shifter. McCurry Posi-lock differential 3.80 ratio. Shelby spec A arms lowered to 1" front and 1/8" rear (Carrol Shelby's specs for the first 252 GT 350's to roll off the floor in Nevada-to improve cornering at high speed), Shelby 11" front disc brakes, Shelby R-code 2" front and rear sway bars, Koni adjustable Front and Rear shocks. Factory traction bars welded in place, Monte Carlo, and Export bars (R code specs). Shelby quick steering Pitman and idler arms. Ford Hi-Po radiator.Car is also equipped with the correct Shelby scooped hood, R-code lower valence. Quarter scoops are ducted to cool rear brakes. Shelby quarter glass, Shelby steering wheel, Gas cap, floor mats, tach, stripes, and all appropriate emblems and VIN tag, Shelby R-code racing seats and belts. One other thing I did was to have OldAir heat/air conditioning installed when I decided not to race it, to make it drivable in the summer in the south. Great car, has been living in my garage since I drove it home.
