2000 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air.Where to start. Has been a great vehicle. Bought for daughter to drive through high school and now i bought her a car for graduation and this one has to go.I'll give all that wrong, bad, or needs repaired first from front to back of car.THE CAR HAS A REBUILT TITLE.Rebuilt 8/2002. I purchased it 8/2007 that way so i do not know all that was damaged but was told buy previous owner that it had received front end damage.When i purchased the car a mechanic shop checked the front end like suspension, steering,etc. and found to drive correctly and did not have funny tire wear. The windshield wiper fluid reservoir is cracked at the top.The engine runs excellent but does smoke when first started. The local garage told me that they believe that the valve guide or guides is leaking by. They said that to get the heads done is about a 1000 and new heads can be purchased for about a 1000. I thought i would let the new owner deceide. May you could get it done cheaper. The engine has been cammed by previous owner. Has 3 inch exhaust from factory.Computer was reprogramed by a local company.( On internet ED Wright Fast Chips, FastChips.com ) so as not to give my teen daughter a death car.He is the one who verified that a more aggressive cam was installed. He took the bite out of the car. The idle was retarted. The fuel cutoff was lowered to 83 mph. The transmission was softened as to shift real easy.(This makes car if driven aggressively act like slips when at redline but raising off of pedal it will shift, Does not slip in any fastion when driven normal). Raised rev. limiter. ALL CAN BE PUT BACK TO CORRECT BY REPROGRAMMING COMPUTER.As i said this was done for her safety so car would not get away from her.Inside the dash pad above the passenger airbag has cracked and needs replaced or a dash cover.All dash guages and lights are working. The air bag light is on .I have not had checked to know problem.Right front door speaker will need replaced (crackels) Has factory cd player with e.q and steering wheel controls.Interior fair.Maybe small tear on driver seat at side by seat belt.Car is a T-Top car with interior sun shades. Sun visor has elastic straps tht are stretched out.Power antenna has broke in up position but i purchased a replacement part and if i can find it i'll send with car..(the antenna motor does run). There is a slight dent in the rear passender panel above rear tire.Was not able to get a good picture. Not creased but pushed in a little. Tried to get pic but doesnt show well. Paint very good except scrapped at dent, about 4 inch spot at nose (parking curb), small spot by driver door, back bumper by licence tag.(there when car purchased). Needs some loving attention and i dont want to put lots of money into these issues because the new owner may not care or can get done cheaper or do themselves and i can sell car cheaper.What has been done. Old 17 inch factory wheels scared so i put 18 inch foose on with michelin pilots (245 front/ 295 rear).These are not new but less than 10000 miles. New alternator,window motor, exhaust gaskets,factory radio.plug wires,spark plugs. Just trying to be as honest as possible to tell all. CAR IS NOT A CLUNKER.Needs some lookin after ,some work, but able to sell at half or more than other cars listed.Has great potential ,easy fixes and you are the only one that knows that it was rebuilt. NOW WITH EVEN A LOWER RESERVE. I'll even say lowered to what the high bidder went to last time listed. Just had not made reserve. Went from trying to recoup a little to gettin out of it what i've put into it.
