Vehicle Detail
*** for those who were already watching this item. Sorry for the increase in price. I was notified of a way to fix the problem with it only starting for a few seconds and it turning off, and hopefully found a permanent and easy cure to the problem instead of replacing the ecu like volkswagen said. Found out about the the key reread and immobilizer**** will be back with update shortly. (The immobilizer light is blinking, I put a new battery into the key fob first and trying leaving the key in for an hour to see if that will get it to stay running.) still in the process of trouble shooting. If anyone else has any other suggestions just let me know. I only have one key at the moment so I can't do the 2 key trick. I don't want to take it to the dealer to have them reprogram the key to the car because they have stolen enough of our money. Very fuel efficient car that you can have up and driving in no time for a fraction of the price of buying a hybrid car. This car is very spacious with leather seats, cd player, fully functional sunroof, and has a a lot of trunk space. My dad purchased the car after it had damage to the back passenger side wheel. He had it repaired at Gables Collision Center. The rear axle was replaced on the car. My sister then drove it for the past year and a half from Cincinnati to southern Indiana every week. A few months ago a bearing went bad in the back wheel and my dad had it replaced along with all 4 tires and battery but right when it was replaced the car would no longer stay running. The volkswagen service department said it was the fuel pump so we had it replaced, but come to find out the original fuel pump was in perfect condition and they sold it to someone else. They are now saying it is the Computer that needs to be replaced for 3500. The volkswagen service department are liars. The reason the car doesn't stay running is because the immobilizer has been activated. The car starts up but does not stay running. There is wear to the front seat leather and the passenger side does have a tear on the right side of the back portion of the seat. Minor scratches along with some dings that can be easily repaired were found. There is a crack on the Engine Cover. Included:-Blue Volkswagen Jetta TDI 1.9L Manual transmission (Gray leather with black trimming)-Parts that were taken off to get to computer and other areas-Front rubber floor mats-2 front seat covers-Jack-Wheel wrench-Jumper cables-Tow hook-Spare Tire If you have any questions or need additional pictures I would be more than glad to help you out to the best of my ability. If you can send me your email to send the additional information to it would help out greatly. Thanks! Buyer will be responsible for pick up of the car. Car must go! Happy Bidding! On Oct-03-11 at 10:46:06 PDT, seller added the following information:I tried a couple of the tricks like leaving the key on for 20 minutes but immobilizer light still kept blinking. Also tried removing the battery leads and zip tying them together for 30 minutes then hooking the battery back up and placing the key in the on position in the ignition for 20 more minutes but did not work. When this car is sold it will either need to be towed or if you have another method to deactivate the immobilizer with vagcom to start the car that will work also. If you are not satisfied with the car upon coming to get the car I will refund the initial down payment no questions asked.
