PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION - DO NOT BID ON THE CAR UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BUY IT - THE CAR IS AS IS NO CLAIM TO ORIGINALITY IS MADE - NO WARRANTY- The last year of the Super Beetle Convertible a true classic. This car was recently traded at our dealership so we cannot attest to it's actual history. The previous owner owned it for 6 years and drove it very little, a winter weekender. He believes the car to be original except for an aftermarket radio and speakers. The engine has a carburetor however and I believe the originals were fuel injected. The exterior of the car is in excellent condition, very few nicks or dings. The interior of the car, the seats, convertible top and convertible boot are also in excellent condition. Everything works. The key, only one key, is a little difficult to turn in the ignition but it is operable. One of the rear ashtrays is loose, the dashboard ash tray is missing. The lever to open the front hood works but is stiff. The rear window cranks are missing the black cover but work and are original. The prior owner believes the mileage to be actual but because we cannot pull a vehicle history report because of it age, we have to sell it as True Miles Unknown. The car has newer tires, drives great and the transmission shifts effortlessly. I attempted to take a few pictures of the undercarriage to show that there is no rust and very little wear (most Arizona Cars have very little to no rust). You are welcome to have the vehicle inspected by any company you choose. We think you will find it to be in excellent operating condition. On Sep-14-11 at 15:02:34 PDT, seller added the following information: This Triple Black Version of the Super Beetle was also known as the EPILOG. This was to commemorate the original Beetle which came off the line more than 30 years earlier. The Epilog has a black exterior, black interior, black top and a wood grain dash. It also came with an AM/FM radio for $200 more. Only one Epilog was allocated per dealer. Only VIN number after 159200XXXX were Epilog but not all VIN numbers after 159200 were Epilog's so it is not possible to determine which Epilog produced this particular car was.
