We have owned this Excursion since 2006 and have really enjoyed it. It is a V10 gas with front bench seat, so it seats 9 people total. It also tows extremely well. I have occasionally towed trailers of various weights, and have also towed my minivan once on a dolly. I could hardly tell it was pulling anything, it has so much towing power. The 4WD has been really nice to have in the winters here in the Midwest. It runs great and has been extremely dependable. The 4WD works fine and the automatic transmission shifts perfectly. The only problems I know of I will list here. The windshield is cracked. The running boards are a bit spongy but hold up. My mechanic has told me that it probably needs ball joints replaced. The most reasonable quote I have gotten is for $700 if all four needed replaced. The cruise control does not work. I don't know if it's a big fix or just a fuse... I don't use the cruise and don't even notice it. The power locks work except for the drivers side. It needs two tires replaced. Oil and filters have been changed regularly. All windows work. Seats are controlled manually. Everything else works on it. We have kept it clean and well maintained. Sale will be "as is." It has 241,700 miles on it, and has a lot of miles left. I drove it to Tennessee twice in 2010 and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. We drive it daily. We are advertising locally as well.
