Very clean and well maintained. The black exterior with the black interior and TAN soft top is the best looking combination and is the most desirable is my opinion. This convertible has very clean chrome wheels which really gives the car a nice feel and stance. The cars interior is very clean, it has nice soft perforated black leather seats. The seats are electric and are heated. All the electrical components in this car work great. The convertible top was replaced in 2008 and works like it should every time and looks brand new. This Mercedes has a nice dark wood grain trim. The paint is in very good condition and had been waxed regularly. This car has always been garaged kept and has absolutely no rust. This Mercedes Benz is in great condition and it would be very hard to find another like it. The original window sticker was over $100,000. This is truly a wonderful time of year to own a convertible. Don't miss out on this opportunity to own a great 300sl. I bought it in February 2008. There are NO leaks and it does not burn oil. There is a very faint smell of oil on the engine after driving it, but this is only due to the fact I just had the head gasket replaced on 9.7.11 and there is some residual oil from removing the head on the motor/exhuast. They cleaned it the best they could and the mechanic said the smell will disappear completly after a few hundred miles of driving it. The smell is almost gone now already. I want to be upfront with the new buyer...this car is in great shape not a eBay junker some people try and dump on here. This is a 1991 300SL 6-cylinder 2 door hard top/soft top convertible, 105,000 miles. It has always been stored inside in winters. It has every option they had including Chrome Benz wheels, wind screen, the bottom side panels painted black to match the upper car. Don’t buy someone else’s problem Mercedes, this car has all the issues fixed, it is adult owned/driven and will go a long time without repairs. I spent over $4500.00 in updates and repairs and I have receipts for the work that was done. I also have the carfax from when I bought it in February 2008 from Jack Safro Lexus in Brookfield (Milwaukee) WI.
