This is a project truck I picked up several years ago to build into a custom hot rod. I haven't had the time and I am losing my storage space so it needs to go. It was last titled in 1982 and I have the clear IL title in hand. This truck is for an experienced builder or restorer. It is pretty rough, but there are enough good things about it to save it. Especially because it shares parts with the 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, and 1954 Chevy and GMC trucks. The guy I bought it from attempted to build it into a hot rod and lost interest. I got it cheap and I'm selling it cheap. The top is chopped about 3" or so and it requires more work to finish it. From the best I can tell, there is a Mustang II front end in it. The rear axle is in place and the frame is original. The bed is 8' long with a ribbed metal floor. I believe it is a 3/4 ton. The original dashboard is in the truck, but that's about all in the interior. No engine or transmission and I do not have any glass. It has been stored indoors since I've had it. A lot of the trim pieces are in the truck along with other miscellaneous parts that I haven't cataloged. It will need to be hauled on a flatbed truck or trailer because the tires don't hold air for very long. If you have time, space, and are good with a welder; this truck isn't that bad, but it is a P-R-O-J-E-C-T!!! The truck is currently located in Kenosha, WI. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and hauling of this vehicle and it needs to happen fast! I can hold it for a few days past the end of the auction, but that's about all. If you want to make an offer, I'd be open to end the auction early, but I cannot if there are bids on it. Please note that this auction is for the blue truck shown in the pictures. The trailer, Avalanche, and the tie downs are not included with the auction.
