Up for auction is my 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible project. This car is Red with Red interior. It has air conditioning (not working), Tilt Steering Wheel, Power Brakes, Power Windows and Power Steering. The previous owner started converting the car to black interior. I have all the red interior parts. The engine is non-matching GM rebuilt 350 motor with a Muncie 4 speed with a Hurst shifter. Car was originally an automatic. The conversion was done correct using all stock parts. The frame is solid as is the bird cage. Paint is cracked and looks like it could be removed fairly easily. The front clip has been replaced and needs to be finished off before painting (please note the crack in the left front fender). The convertible top is new and the frame is in good shape. The interior is in decent shape. The Center console, door panels, and seats need to be repaired or replaced. The chrome is driver quality, would need to be polished or re-dipped for show. Overall this is a great starting point for a restoration of a pretty highly optioned car. It yard drives and stops but is not road worthy. It would need to be transported to its final destination.
