Offered for sale is this beautiful all original 1971 Superior Cadillac Crown Sovereign end-loader hearse. Car was sold last week, but the buyer was unable to complete the deal. Very few of the Sovereign Crown models were built in 1971 featuring the chrome bow over the top of the car. This rare classic does not need much to be in show condition. There is not a bit of bondo or rust anywhere on the car. Sold new in California to a local funeral home and has always been in California. The exterior is straight with a fresh factory original gold finish. The interior is beautiful and surprisingly flawless with the exception of a three inch crack in the dash pad. The seats, headliner (front and rear) and rear interior are perfect. Along with the new paint, the front carpet is also brand new. Other than that, the car is all original just like the day it was delivered in 1971. It features Climate Control air conditioning and heating. The A/C could use a charge since it isn't as cold as it should but, but the system is completely intact. It has remote control rear view mirrors on both sides; the optional deluxe interior front and back; AM-FM stereo radio with CD player; excellent tires; the original fender skirts; no mechanical issues and the car runs strong; everything works (interior and exterior lights, cornering lights, rear loading lights, casket area lights) and near-new white wall radial tires; suspension is tight and it literally floats down the freeway. The outer headlights have low and high beam capabilities. The inner headlights are not high beams, but in fact, 1 million candlepower aircraft landing lights. If your house is on a country road, these lights will illuminate your entire property from a mile away. 1971 is a rare year for Superior Crown Sovereigns and this one is no exception. Not only is this a 1971 Superior Cadillac in great condition, but it's one of the few 1971 Sovereigns left that you'll find anywhere. Since the car is 40 years old, it is sold “as-is”, “where is” with no warranty expressed or implied. I firmly believe that this car could be driven anywhere in the country without a problem. However, as with any used car (especially one that is 40 years old) there could be issues down the road. This is not a brand new car, so keep that in mind.
