Vehicle Detail
Southern California Hot Rod Pickup Paint and Body: A one of a kind hot rod. This pickup sports a vibrant Yellow paint job with a little orange mixed in to add a little flavor. The body and interior were stripped clean of all parts and the truck was hand sanded and then completely block sanded to perfection. My goal was to make this truck smooth as glass, so thats what I did. Every square inch of the metal was blocked and smoothed out until it I was sure that I had reached perfection. Both doors and the hood and the bed were removed to ensure that not one spot was missed. Prime, paint and clear coat were applied and then the truck was color sanded to a glass smooth finish. I invested a little over $6000 in the body work and paint. No bondo was used because there were no flaws or rust, zero. Truck Bed: I put a lot of time and care put into the truck bed because I run it without the tailgate. I chose to go the extra mile and put in a special order to get my hands on some Brazilian Teak to use as my bed liner, in my opinion it is the highest quality and grade on the market. Nothing but the best. I re chromed the bed rails to go between the planks to give it that extra pop. All hardware is new. The bed came out excellent and is one of the nicest truck beds I have seen to date. The strength of the Brazilian Teak will last a life time if it is maintained properly. Under The Hood: One of my favorite parts of a Hot Rod is what is done under the hood. I took a lot of time and research when deciding what would fit best for performance, horsepower and torque to push this truck around. I wanted something stand out that could compete with everything on the road when it comes time to put the peddle to the metal and come out ahead. I chose this LS1 corvette motor for various reasons. Power, rumble, torque but also stay economical so it can be a efficient daily driver. Sporting this LS1 corvette motor with the generation III 5.7 L was my final choice and fits perfectly with the theme and style of this California cruiser. It is an all aluminum 5,665 cc pushrod engine with a bore of 3.898 in (99.0 mm) and a stroke of 3.62 in (92mm) . Headers and exhaust were added to maximize output and give it that classic Corvette rumble. This truck is a daily driver, great around town and smooth running on the highway. Ready for around town or a cross country drive, whichever you prefer. Interior: When working the interior I decided to go simple and clean. Everything is paint matched and redone to give it that clean and fresh look and feel. Custom gauges , steering wheel and fresh carpet and seat and door upholstery still looks new as the day I put it in. Any questions call me, email or text. Ricky Ross 760 978 2851
