Vehicle Detail
I am relisting my reliable 1976 CB750 that I used for commuting to work (100 mile round trip) and for pleasure rides. I've put almost 7,000 miles on it in 3 years. It has had use and so therefore is not perfect, but it still looks great. My favorite thing about it other than the fact it is a vintage survivor is the way it runs. It's like an old reliable pickup. It starts when I want it to and does what I want it to. There is some cam chain noise when it starts cold and the idle is low, but as soon as it warms up it's fine after a few minutes. It's been like that since I've had it. There is no popping from the carbs or misfiring. I've never synced the carbs, but I'm fine with the way it is. No smoke, lots of power for a vintage heavyweight. One muffler (seen in picture) has a hole in it but it's hard to see and again, has been there since I've owned it and is no bigger now that it was when I got it. I don't think there are other holes but if there are I can't see them. I have an excellent battery. There is a signal light not working so it may need a bulb. I have the mirrors but they aren't on it in the photos. The neutral light stays on when it's in gear but I've ridden it so much I know when it's in neutral so I don't even pay attention to it. Now and then, there can be a very small oil spot under the bike but it is sporadic and has never been a problem for me. I see some oil seep at the left side of the cylinder after a good ride but it doesn't hurt the performance. The tank has a few small dents, trim has scratches and there are scuffs under the mufflers and scrapes here and there on the engine and elsewhere. Like I said, this is a rider with some dignity left and I would like to see it go to someone who will have as much fun on it as I have. I don't need it for commuting now since I work at home. It is currently titled and tagged in my name. You could ride it home. It rides great and I feel confident when I am on the big roads with it and in traffic. I am willing to deliver it within a 150 mile radius for $1 a loaded mile. Minimum deliver is $50. Otherwise, buyer will need to make pickup/shipping arrangements and inquiries. If you have no bidding history or any negative feedback, please contact me if you wish to bid. Bike is sold as is, where is. It is accurately described. A $350 deposit is due within 24 hours of purchase and balance within 1 week. On Sep-17-11 at 06:17:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added more images as requested by a few bidders. Also, I have a new seat that can be substituted in place of the one on the bike if winner chooses. It has more padding and is more firm. Winner's choice.
