I also have the trim rings and center caps Has good tire thread on all (4) tires Has secret starting system (Hard to steal!) Body is pretty clean couple small rust spots, soft ding in passenger quarter panel. Frame is super solid, floors are good, with (1) rust spot on driver floor area. Trunk is super solid, but has (2) small rust spots in the front of the trunk. It’s a car that you can drive home if you want. Car is red (supposed to be Palmetto Green) Old paint and needs freshened up Black interior (One small seam loose on passenger seat side) Black power top works really well and has had a fresh fluid change Chrome is driver, but not show IN CLOSING: Although you can buy and drive her home, I would take a few things into consideration. This car is 45 years old, and she’s not a trailer queen.... But this car is being sold at a price that a serious car guy can afford. It’s your business, NOT MINE.On Sep-14-11 at 19:59:18 PDT, seller added the following information: OTHER ITEMS TO NOTE: The GTO has the original GM key's, not after markets, which I thought was cool. Washer bottle needs replaced ( Has Hole in it.) Has only (1) original T-3 headlight in her. Doors, hood and trunk sut well. EXTRA'S: I know without question, that this car will pass reserve easily. However, if this GTO... Get's the target price I want (after reserve) I am going to include the following items... Although, I never got the PHS on this car, I wanted this GTO, to have TRI POWER. And if this car hit's the target price I'm thinking., and this is on my own here fella's. I will include the complete TRI POWER that I personally took off of a 1965 GTO Ragtop that I purchased up in Boston Mass... (Hey Brian) It is complete, it came off a running car that drove well, but was really rusted to heck... It has the intake, carbs, linkage, and air cleaners! And., to further show that I want the potential buyer to really be happy... If I'm going to give up the TRI POWER, then I might as well throw in... A complete RALLY PAC DASH cluster... NO, to answer your questions, I am not crazy, I'm just focused on something else at the moment. I have sold Museum quality 55' Bel Air, a restorable 1970 LS6 Chevelle, a fine 71 440 Challenger... I down to this GTO and a very clean 66 Lemans convertible (Which is going to be listed next on Ebay. ) That 66 has the original 326, Power glide, bucket seat, a/c car that was super well preserved. NO, do not ask, it will be listed on Ebay! It's the safest way tp protect myself from scammers, car thieves, or headaches from loony tunes...lol This GTO is not perfect, is not a trailer queen, but I know what is out there and I know the prices people are asking for junk, and I know what top cars are bringing... I just went to South Alabama, for a 67 Chevelle ragtop, 327 car, bucket and A/C.... That car was freaking junk.... Frame was rotted away.... Quarters were ready to fall off, and it was just junk... Hell, I go 280lbs, and took my GTO for a cruise today, then went to the ice cream shop where I took the pics, and then drove her home...May lookers asked if I was selling, and I was able to lean against my ride, and said it's going to Ebay tonight... (Did I mention that the trans sometimes chirps the tires going into 2nd gear? This GTO will make someone happy! Some tlc and this car is going to take you back to 1966, you're gonna get hypmotised by the stacked headlights, seduced by the sexy tail lights that look like a bat from behind, maybe it's the coke bottle shape from the side...? WHY AM I SELLING? I'm not going to prison No alimony No child support Not a drinker Not a pill popper Not terminal Just wanting something different is all. On Sep-15-11 at 22:58:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I WOULD LIKE TO CLARIFY: A. I'm not selling outside Ebay B. I'm not revealing the reserve C. I'm not interested in stopping the auction to make it unfair for others I truly didn't expect the interest in this car, but I guess people love these GTO's more than I antisipated.... However, I'm playing fair and by the rules. That's what makes the auction interesting.... I set the low reserve to see a white knuckle fight for this girl! I would suggest to anyone, to know what they feel these cars can be worth and go from there... The car rides well on the freeway The engine doesn't knock, or blow smoke, and it runs great on pump gas! (94) Actually, I would say it should have the tri power on it and a bigger exhaust so this Queen can scream! This car is not a perfect museum car, cheap radio that doesn't work well., and the theft deterent, I would buy a more expensive set up from a professional company It could make a great frame off project, which would bring some big money after... If I was gonna keep the car, I would go with a new paint job, and I wouild paint it BLACK... Triple black, true 66 GTO ragtop... = $$$$$ I took a pic of the YH on the block I took a pic of the Body tag showing it's a true '242' car IMPORTANT DETAILS: I will be taking a picture of the title for the winning bidder. Once the car is paid for, I will send the title to the buyer. Now, the buyer must decide on whehter the title will go into the possession of the shipping agent (It will be notarized) or if they would prefer if I sent the title to the purchaser via USPS, or FED EX? However, the buyer decides, their choice must be sent to me in an email, through ebay questions so there is digital verification. (Just covering my rear end..lol)
