FOR SALE : NO RESERVE NO RESERVE 1989 325I "S" 4 Door Zinnoberrot Red with 209K original miles. 5 Speed Manual. CLEAN TITLE! I bought this car earlier this year from a fellow E30 enthusiast. He told me that the previous owner did a lot of work and upgrades to the car to bring it into top condition. The car was orginally sold by VOB BMW in Rockville Maryland and has its service stamps. It is a local car (Washington DC metro area) and from my close inspection of the undercarraige it has no rust at all or corrosion. From the looks of it the car was garaged a good part of its life and was cared for. The only thing physically wrong with the car is that the dash is cracked in one spot from dry rot. I did order a new refurbished dash that looks brand new but I have had no time to install it and it will come with the sale. Mechanically, the BMW runs very solid. I can attest to this because I have owned over 20 E30 BMW's including many M3's and the engine sounds fantastic. Very quiet and no smoke. The valve adjustments were done on time and the oil was changed religiously. The timing belt/tensioner/water pump was done at 180k (got the sticker) Everything works on the car including the A/C but it will need recharging. I recently had the gauge cluster sent out to get rebuilt. It has new odometer gears and the tach/speedo was recalibrated. The "SI" service indicator lights work perfectly as well since it has a new battery in it. The E30 has a lot of "S" options and aftermarket upgrades including : 14" BBS Wheels Front IS spoiler Rear IS spoiler BMW Ellipsoid Lights and Fog Lights Eibach lowering springs with fairly new strut mounts all around LSD - Limited Slip Diff 3.73 from a IS - Top condition clutch packs are good & no noise. Short shifter M Floor Mats and One Piece Leather M Shift Knob "IS" RECARO sport seat interior NARDI Steering Wheel New Exhaust (Muffler) The transmission shifts perfect and is not noisy and does not leak (dry). If you change out the fluids out and rear seal as scheduled these transmission last forever. The guibo and front lower control arms are pretty new (not sure but you can tell they were changed by the color of them). There are no leaks, weird noises or hard starting. The car runs/idles perfect and needs nothing. Steering rack is perfect as well and no leaks or play. The red paint is original and clean but not showroom perfect. It has its fair share of chips and scratches with some touch up paint spots but no dents or dings or rust. Remember it is 22 years old. It has been hand waxed to protect the finish. I think the pictures tell you everything. The original radio still works fine as well as the power antenna. However I would change out the original paper cone speakers because they are pretty much shot. Car comes with the ORIGINAL Keys, original jack and tire cane but NO spare tire.
