Vehicle Detail
Hi this auction is for a 1946 Nash 4 door sedan. This car does not have a motor or transmission. The body is excellent with no rust anywhere and a fair paint job (could use a good wet sanding and buff job but that's for someone else to do. I say fair because of orange peel, dust particles and a somewhat uneven surface) look carefully at the photos so you know what your bidding on and remember that cars always look better in photos than they do in person. The doors fit nicely, they open and close like they ought to. the door panels have been dyed so they look nice. Front bucket seats are clean and comfy, rear seat is soft and very nice to sit on. The carpet is short nap and it looks very nice. This car has a matching set of 4 original wheels and hubcaps with 4 brand new trim rings. Tires are junk but they hold air. The car has a new (NOS?) battery box and clean fuel tank. All the glass is good except for one rear quarter window. All the door windows roll up and down nicely and all the glass is inexpensive flat glass. I have the original radiator but if you swap in a newer motor I would suggest using something else. An original drive shaft is included. The rear axle does not leak and turns freely. The frame is straight and rust free. The rocker panels have been repaired with metal and are solid. The engine compartment is clean and plenty big enough for any type of later model V8 or what have you. Think about it..... if you put on a set of tires a master cylinder and a motor/trans combination, you could have a running hot rod on the road in less than 30 days (about 5 days if you take some time off from work!) This car has not been on the road since the late 60's so it has long ago dropped off the DMV records. I am selling it with a bill of sale. As usual there is no refunds. I sell everything AS IS so I put in plenty of pictures to be sure you will know what your getting. I will not ship this to you. you must arrange your own shipping (but I will help you in any way I can since I have done this many times before. I can also assist with loading if need be). I am continuing to acquire parts for this car and anything I buy during the auction will be included with the car. Please don't bid more than what you have on hand to pay. Having said all that I wish you good luck and happy bidding.
