Vehicle Detail
1952 Chevrolet truck, lowrider, truck. The truck is sitting on a complete Chevy Nova drive train with power steering, power brakes, it has 250 six cylinder, powerglide two speed automatic, and front and rear suspensions. I believe it is all from a 69 Chevy Nova. The bed has been shortened. It is built pretty well, but I did not build it. I took it in trade for a "Tin Woody" that I had built. It runs and drives good. I have had it about a year and a half. I think it was a show truck in the "80's", at least according to the guy I got it from. It is starting to show a little wear on the body work and interior, but it is still very presentable. No tears in the interior. It has one small black mark on the passenger side about the size of a small pea. It has a some body work around the back side of th cab and on top of the cowl that are cracking, but it isn't too bad. I don't see any rust around the body or frame areas. It looks pretty clean for being a 60 year old body. It has the right look for a lowrider pickup. Nice enough that it gets a lot of compliments, but used enough that you are not afraid to drive it! It is driven regularly to work, probably at least two or three times a week. I use it as an almost daily driver, so I did the things to make it more drivable. The brakes have been replaced, new tires on the front (backs are good), Vintage Air heat and defrost unit (no A/C), and a nice four speaker with a Pioneer SuperTuner CD stereo system. I also put vintage American Racing Torque Thrusters on it to give it the right look. It sits low, but rides right. It does not drag the frame like my 57 Ranchero does. Being as old as it is, it does have a couple minor faults. The speedometer needle fell off the speedometer. It still works, but someone needs to pull it apart and put a new needle on it (included). There is a couple oil drops coming off the engine. Probably because it was not driven much before I got it so the seals got a little dry. It is nto excessive, but I want to disclose all the faults. The dash gauges are not hooked up, but all the gauges under the dash work to include: oil pressure, fuel, and temperature. All the lights and signals work. The parking brake is not hooked up, but I will include the cables I bought to get it all hooked up. I don't know the mileage on the engine/transmission, but they seem to work well. There you have it, a nice driver that anyone would like to drive and enjoy. Not so nice you would be afraid to drive it, but nice enough it is very presentable. Not thrilled about selling it, but I have too many cars, and a daughter starting college this year. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me. I do have it for sale locally so if it sells I will pull it off Ebay. If you win it, you will be happy with it so bid often and good luck. I will help with loading and shipping on this end, but it is up to you to set it all up and pay for it. Additionally, the truck will not leave my house until the funds are in the bank. On Sep-11-11 at 18:45:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Just wanted to add that the bed has been shortened, along with the frame. This truck is easy to drive and park due to the short wheel base. It also can drive a long way on five gallons of gas. It gets around 20 miles +/- to the gallon. Not bad for a 52. It drives like a little S10 Chevy. Thanks for al the interest! On Sep-17-11 at 07:16:32 PDT, seller added the following information: RESERVE LOWERED!!!!!!!
