A must see rare, low mileage, 1owner 1986 SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) Mustang. This is a 1 owner, garage stored, SVO Mustang with 9,350 original miles. This car was purchased new in 1986 and is the last year the SVO was produced. I have all of the books and information that came with the car. It has been driven only limited miles each year, never in winter or rain. It does not have any rust and is absolutely amazing. It has been stored in a cement floor garage, except when it was drove.The car is in like new condition and I am pretty sure there is not another one like it for sale. I will do my best to explain the car and its condition. There is a lot of history about the 1986 SVO on the internet if you wanted to get more information. Exterior: The exterior is in , the pictures barely do justice to this car. This car is over 25 years old and looks brand new. The car is painted in Dark Grey Metallic and the paint is in excellent condition and there are no scratches or dents that I can see and no rust. The SVO has an a unique front grill that was only used on the SVO line, an offset functional hood scoop that was also unique to the SVO, slotted dish aluminum wheels with low profile tires and a bi-level rear wing. The aluminum wheels do have a slight discoloration in some spots, which I am told is because of a clear coat that was put on them and it has not stay on. They still look great, but to me it is a flaw. All of the trim pieces on the car, including the wing, were painted a subtle charcoal grey. The car also came with Marchant fog lights up front, which came standard with covers to protect the lights when not in use. Interior: Like the exterior, the interior is in like new condition and it is Charcoal Grey cloth. The inside of the SVO was as different as the outside when compared to other Mustangs of the era. It retained the same six analog gauge set up as the rest of the Mustangs as well as power windows, doorlocks, dual illuminating visor mirrors and A/C (In excellent workingcondition). All SVO's came with a leather wrapped steering wheel, gear shiftand emergency brake handle. The lower console of the car featured a toggle switch that allows the drive to change between regular and premium unleaded gas. The dash lights are lit in a racing red. This SVO has an optional flipup/open sun roof. A very unique item is that the front bucket seats came with an unusual air bladder that allowed the driver and the passenger to adjust their individual lumbar supports. The seats came with a pump-up control that allowed the driver and passenger to fill and deflate the air bladder. The car came with charcoal grey cloth interior, which is in amazing condition. There is a small, approximately 1/8" hole in the front trim, near the rearview mirror. Dad had a radar detector mounted on their for a short period of time. Aslo, the passenger side rear floor mat has a different trim on the outside of it. It is not a perfect match and must not be original. It also came with a premium sound system with a cassette tape player that works perfectly. Other notes: The SVO was the first Mustang to come with four wheel power disc brakes. The handling on the SVO is amazing. The car came with heavy sway bars front and rear and dual Koni adjustable shocks in the rear. I have all of the original documents for the car. I have the original window sticker, the maintenance schedule and record log, the operating guide, the information about the Koni shocks, the Koni shock adjustment tool, the owner’s manual/book, the special locking lug nut tool and the locking lug nuts. The engine is a Turbocharged 2.3liter 4 cylinder, with an 8000 tachometer. It also has a turbo boost gauge. In1986, the final year of production, the SVO hp was around 200 hp. The car runs like it was brand new and has plenty of speed. It has a 5-speed manual overdrive transmission and it works like new. This is an amazing car and it will not disappoint the new owner. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. This is a very rare and unique car not only because it is a Mustang SVO, but because of the mileage and condition.
