Vehicle Detail
CLASSIC 1975 TRIUMPH TRIDENT. I bought this bike over 20 years ago. After extensive restoration, I had a motorcycle I could ride on the freeway at top speed, with confidence it would stop when I wanted it to. I changed the brake system over to 2 disks (not easy). Koni shocks, braided stainless steel lines. Progressive springs with 1/2" pre-load. Dunstall replica mufflers on stock pipes. Wheels are Morris Mags. 19" front/ 18"rear. Sticky sport tread tires. This bike is up-graded from stock, but if you must go back, it would be easy. Comes with Triumph Owners Manuals, Parts & Mechanics manuals. Also my history of work on the bike. On Sep-11-11 at 03:55:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, would like to point out flaws. Oil tank has a place where kick lever has dinged it (see pics). Also gas tank has a very small yellowed spot where gas stained, (also in pics). I also have a box full of the stock air cleaner, footrests, stock lower fork leg etc. If you don't care for the Tracy fairing it is quickly removeable. On Sep-11-11 at 16:32:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, I was just thinking about the paint. I painted this in 1991 using House of Colors (Wild Cherry) and as I was spraying, I couldn't stop when I got to the correct shade. I loved it more as I applied more paint. So, it's not the true shade for '75 Trident, but it has been stored indoors and seen very little sunlight. The side covers/oil tank and frame is still factory painted black. Matching frame/engine numbers. On Sep-12-11 at 14:35:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Just wanted to be clear on a couple of points. The winner of this auction should be prepared to deposit $500.00US in PayPal in 24 hours. The balance paid by wire transfer or Certified Check or Cash within 7 days of the end of auction. All expenses and arrangement for shipping with be at the cost of the winner. Any and all duties, paper work and fees will be at the expense of the purchaser. I CAN be here for pick up, appointment ahead of time, but CAN NOT box or crate the bike. I will NOT release the bike until payment is in place. I have a free and clear Tennessee title. Be sure about this or don't waste our time, a bid is an implied lawful contract, this is a serious auction. Thank you for your interest.
