You are bidding on a 1992 Richard Petty Edition Pontiac Grand Prix. Car is in good used condition for its age. I bought this car with intentions of fixing it up a little, but I have too many other projects going on right now. I bought the car from a member in the Military whose friend abandoned the car, signed the title over to him and left the car behind. The car a sat for awhile before he was forced to have it removed from the Base. That is when I rescued it, he had planned on taking it to the scrap yard. Exterior is in good condition, has a few minor surface rust spots above the drivers door, a few small dents in the hood, front and rear bumpers need some minor repairs and repainted, plastic ground affects on both doors and all wheel wells need some minor repair and repainted due to being sun baked and paint is starting to chip off. The Petty logo on the trunk is sun faded and not legible. Saw some on Ebay for sale a few weeks ago. All four wheels are in good condition, just need a good cleaning, no bends or curb rash. Will need 3 new tires, the front 2 are the worst, has 1 brand new rear tire and the other tire has a few more miles left on it. All four hold air. Interior needs a good cleaning, carpets have some stains. Seats are in good condition, no rips or tears. Steering wheel needs recovered, top covering is worn off. Petty logo on the dash is missing also, saw these on Ebay also. Everything works as it should, power windows, radio, sun roof, lights, blinkers, gauges. Dash has one small crack on the drivers side by the speaker screen. Engine needs some work, it does run but not very well. As I stated before that the car had sat for awhile, couldn't get a straight answer on how long from the previous owner. It had sat due to a cracked lower intake manifold. I replaced the lower manifold along with all the gaskets. I replaced all the fluids, drained the fuel tank, replaced the fuel and oil filter. I got it to run and idle just fine, but now it won't idle, just shuts down, it will run if you give it a little gas and hold the gas pedal down a little, it will drive it just lacks power when you drive it. So I am not sure if it just a sensor or what it might be. I believe that I am the third owner of this car. Some where the previous owners have lost the Official Petty Letter stating it's Edition number. Also there is no owners manual. I was going to write a letter to Petty Enterprises to see if I could get a copy of the original if it was still available or have one remade. I haven't had this car too long but I will do my best to answer any questions you may have. So please ask questions before you bid. I do have a Clear Florida Title for this car.
